I Hate Bye Weeks

I know they're good for your team to get some rest, get some extra practice, maybe get some injuries healed up.

But I hate Bye Weeks. Football just started, I hate not having a game to look forward to for Saturday. It's like they invented the bye week just to remind us just how miserable we are when Football is not around.

Honestly given that Tech also has a bye week now I'd rather the schedule had called for us to play this week. That would give us a 4/8 split rather than 3/9. I still wish we had a bye week midseason instead of ending a week early. I think the 3/6/3 we had a season or two ago was ideal.

HATE WEEK v2.0!

BYE sucks. Their fans are cocky and rude, their coaching staff cheats and practices dirty recruiting, and their players take sexual liberties with farm animals. I freakin' LOVE it when ISU stomps a mudhole in BYE every year.

Mainly because I can remember "back in the day" when we needed 4th quarter heroics to beat BYE a few times.

Edit: Although, it will give me a chance to understand all these crazy changes to the site that I'm seeing after being away from it for a year and a half.

I'll be different. After 2 big tailgating days (including being in ames for close to 18 hours saturday) and a game-watch for the iowa game, i'm sort of looking forward to having nothing to do and just sitting down and watching football at home all day.

I hate em too, but it gives me the chance to golf with my boy without having to schedule it around the game, so that's a plus.

It will probably be too low again so don't get your hopes up.

I don't mind bye weeks because I can catch up on somethings I can't during the week and also watch quite a bit of college football. Although it would have been nice to have the tech game this weekend and bye the next since I will be working next weekend.

This! I hardly ever watch other games since I came to college and started going to every game. I will enjoy seeing the rest of the country and rooting for upsets vs the low top 25 so we can sneak in with our win over BYE!

I hate them too. Especially this one. I turn 30 on the 22nd, and I really REALLY wanted us to have a game (even an away game) becuase that would have been stellar.
