How do you feel about this guy now? Still hate him? Like him any better?

I felt pretty neutral about Labron until watching him play in the finals. Now I like him...he seems like a team guy and is a very humble winner. I'm not sure I'm a fan yet, but I he's a great player and I think deserves his day in the sun.

I hate Labron. I've hated him ever since I saw his name... approximately 15 seconds ago

Re: For the Labron haters...

I hate Lebron and Labron. Also trolololol.

Come on OP at least get the guys name right, he's a CHAMPION now for ***** sakes.

I still don't care for him, but I can respect his game and what he accomplished tonight.

I am amazingly neutral on the whole thing. I really don't see what the issue was. Yeah, it sucks that he left Cleveland, but come on, he went where he felt he had the best shot at building a brand, can anyone really fault him for that? How many bands moved to Seattle in the 90s to say they were from Seattle? In the end, it's the NBA, if it went away tomorrow, it wouldn't bother me, if it's here next year, well, it's still better than soccer.

Also can't lie the fact that this team up down south has basically screwed any other team in the Eastern Conference of even sniffing a NBA Finals appearance for the foreseeable future also plays a role in how I feel. It's only going to get worse because anyone with decent game who is getting over the hill is going to go there are gravy train rings like Richmond did with the Lakers and GP did with the heat in 06.

I still don't like him. But there are a lot of NBA players I don't like. Derek Fisher for example. Shane Battier. Manu Ginobili. Reggie Evans. Blake Griffin. Paul Pierce. Just off the top of my head. There are probably a lot more.

If it keeps Griffin out of the finals, Lebron can win a hundred more for all I care.

The NBA is unwatchable anymore. Every 30 seconds the whistle blows. Can't watch. Don't care. Anything anyone does comes in a distant second to MJ.

You don't know that... Bulls didn't even play in these playoffs. Also, the Lakers lost when Karl Malone, Byron Russell and Gary Payton joined in 03-04. Adding older veterans is not always a bonus.

He used to be my favorite player when he was in Cleveland. The hometown kid with talent possibly above anyone in the history of the game. There is literally nothing the guy cannot do on a basketball court.

I hate him since the decision because of what an egotistical monster he is. "The King" is not a nickname you give yourself, no matter how talented. Elvis and Michael Jackson did not refer to themselves as the King. They earned it from others' high opinions of them. He held an hour special for his decision, something that no one player is great enough to deserve. Simply hold a press conference and inform the world of your decision. You are not better than the rest of the league. Also, I did not see why he left Cleveland because he felt he didn't have the team to win a championship. Cleveland was a #1 seed in 2009 and 2010, along with #4 or higher seed from 2006-2008. He had the teams that could win, he just didn't do it. He is physically a better basketball player than Michael Jordan, but he lacks the killer winning instinct. Jordan was simply the best and nobody would deny him of that.

Also, I just don't like the Heat at all. I have never liked Wade. He is very cocky, I never like that. I never been a fan of Bosh. I absolutely cannot stand Haslem, I dislike him most on the Heat, even more than Lebron. Not a fan of Miller or Battier. I do like Chalmers. Erik Spoelstra is the most overrated coach in the league. He does nothing IMO.

I will say I'm very happy to see Lebron-No-Ring jokes finally die. They were getting very old.

Boston over the hill rebuilding

Indy / Phi have some promise but really young and immature at times

And Chicago - We will be lucky to make the playoffs next year as we will be without Rose maybe all season and Deng at least half the season. Bulls I'm sad to say championship dreams may have died with Rose's injury.

Considering no one has given him any credit (right or wrong) all year I find this hard to believe

Lebron its a great player but if he can sprint down a court with an "injured" knee, then walk to the center of the court and act like he snapped his leg in two the very next timeout, he becomes an attention seeker.

Spoelstra is not overrated. He is underrated because evryone thinks he does nothing.

Spoelstra is neither underrated nor overrated... He is a younger coach who makes some mistakes, and he has the best talent in basketball on his team. But whatever he does or doesn't do, it gets the job done. He receives plenty of praise from people who know what they are talking about.

And I don't want to sound insincere, but he could've easily walked to the sideline and gotten his medical attention, there was no need to walk to center court and suddenly forget how to walk.

And again, the injury occurred, he got medical attention, came back out and played solid, THEN this situation occurred.

But he is better than the rest of the league. It's not that close either. The Decision was poorly executed, he owed it to Cleveland to tell them earlier, but at the same time no other player has ever been courted in free agency like LeBron was. The Knicks began shedding salaries to get space to sign him three years before he was a free agent. Almost half the teams in the league were trying to dump salary at the trade deadline so they had room to sign him. The pursuit of LeBron was unlike any other NBA player ever.

As for Cleveland not having a shot to win, LeBron had one of the all time greatest playoff series ever against Orlando. He was incredibly clutch that series too. He did everything he possible could to win that series. And the Cavs still lost. The next year he watched Antwan Jamison and Mo Williams come up small over and over again against the Celtics. He put up a 27/19/10 in the elimination loss. In '08, LeBron scored 45 in Game 7 against Boston and the Cavs lost.

LeBron was clutch over and over again for the Cavs, but the media narrative became LeBron isn't clutch and lacks a killer instinct and the revisionist history of his time with Cleveland was written. LeBron was the only reason the Cavs were anywhere near the Finals to say "he had teams to win, he just didn't do it" is incredibly ignorant. The Cavs were a 25 win team being turned into a title contender by one man.
