I'm kind of shocked Alabama and Texas have to spend so much money, but I suppose they really roll out the red carpet for their recruits.

And Tennessee? What in the world either they are the only ones being honest on these forms or their recruits are getting some extra perks.

Someone in Accounting must have slipped up and put "bribes and player salaries" under "recruiting costs". :twitcy:

Iowa gets a lot of their recruits from Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and more regional states. we have to cast our net wider to find the players, usuallly getting a few from California, Florida being huge, and Texas not exactly being close either. This all costs more. I am glad we are spending more money.

Frankly, I'm surprised that that average isn't right around $1M.

Ga Tech increased their spending from '10 to '11 by 371k, or a 72.7% increase. UVa had the largest increase of BCS schools at 79.8%.

Also, Texas increased their spending by 75%. About time those guys took recruiting seriously. (no jimlad needed I hope)

As accountant I resent that comment. I thought everyone knew you always put player salaries in the tutoring and educational expenses bucket.

I am kind of curious of ND and USC's budget. Recruiting at Hawaii must be pretty difficult at only about $130k a year.
