Miami would also be an ideal fit for him because they have the speed and length on perimeter defense to make up for any mismatches he might have defending.
It's hard for me to imagine a decision like bringing in an ex-MVP doesn't get run by the people who built the team first, I'm not talking about Riley either. They'd be insane not to jump at it though. That could be the best offensive starting lineup of all time with a bowl of pudding starting at center.
We'll see. It's mostly the Pacers fan in me talking, but at the very least I don't expect Indy to roll over like they did last night. And I know it's playoff time and the intensity has been ratcheted up, but it's not like the Heat don't have a history of getting complacent. It wouldn't shock me if they didn't come out with a sense of urgency. But you're right about West and Granger. If they aren't somewhat close to 100% then you can probably close the book on this series.
I'm thinking we'll know within a few hours if there's a good chance for a game 7.
If Haslem is out, even if it comes with a Spazborough suspension too, I think that gives Indy a slight edge at home. Indy takes both of them being suspended in a heartbeat, huge boost for Indy if just Haslem is.
Still a long shot for winning the series though. Pittman will miss several games but that could even help Miami by not being tempted to play him.
No way that's happening. Even if they pull it out tomorrow night, they're not beating Miami on the road in a Game 7.
You think Indiana can win without Hansbrough and with Granger and West at about 80% tops? Yeah right.
Boston is struggling with the extremely poor man's version of the Heat, no way do they get passed the Heat (if they even get passed Philly). I really wish people would realize that Boston is not a contender at all, they are on the same level as Philadelphia who everyone wants to rip for being one of the worst teams to make it this far.
What I was saying was I think all of the suspension scenarios favor Indiana even if TH is suspended. Obviously they probably can't even win one game without Granger.
None of us know how injured those two are (and there's no reason for Indiana to truly let anyone know). Anyone who watches NBA knows there's a 100% chance Pittman will be gone, a decent chance Haslem will be gone and a slightly less but still good chance Hansbrough will be gone.
Example of a move with a short window that completely succeeded, but the window was real and did close after the title. They have some desirable pieces and a very good coach, but they've been a title long shot the past two years.
If Indiana is gonna run their offense like they did last night it won't matter at all if Haslem is out.
I agree and most people do as well. They had that perfect window but maybe should have blown it up right after that, I know thats easier said than done. If I were them Id get rid of Garnett and Allan for some younger peices especially an offensive weapon like (and I know this isnt a possiblity) a Mello.
And what I'm saying is none of that matters. Indiana has to be great to beat the Heat. That means Granger and West have to be 100%. Take away Haslem and Pittman if you want and I don't care about Hansbrough.
They can win one game without being great. That's nonsense. Any team can win one game against any other team without being perfect.
Did you block the 19 point beatdown from your memory? Indiana could have been 18 points worse than great and still beat Miami just in the past week.
Disclaimer before LeBron fans spaz out: NOT SAYING MIAMI IS BAD OR INDY IS GREAT...just pointing out it's silly to say a team has to be great or perfect to win when they won a game by 19 in the series already.
They have to average out to great in the next two games to beat the Heat twice. Get it? They don't get to be poor for a game. They don't get to be average for a game. This isn't the same Heat team as in Game 3 either. Also, in that game, those guys were healthy. They won't be 100%.

I emailed Pollard about this already. I still don't think Hansbrough should have had anything given to him above a personal foul. He made a play on the ball and happened to catch Wades head. That was a good, clean, hard foul. I will retreat a little on the Haslem one. That should have been a 2 and an ejection and Pittman should be out for the playoffs IMO because that was head hunting. I just think this flagrant stuff is BS and even more so that they upgraded Hansbroughs. I don't think they would have if it weren't for the two from Miami. The NBA has fostered the acting though. That **** didn't happen when men were men and sheep ran scared.
