Honestly, I think it's better for the Cyclones that he didn't pick them. Lockett is good, but not a "must have" type of player. I think they will be better off finding a younger player to fill the void.

mcgee,Babb,Clyburn,okoro,long are all studs who can play the #2. its by far our deepest spot. maybe Kyle Washington Will reclassified as 2012 and or Pelle is still an option. Utoff still in the mix. life is good we are deep at guard.

He said "nothing gained, nothing lost". That's a completely appropriate statement. No where did he say "Lockett has nothing to offer".

Exactly. Right now, we want to get some big guys. BUT with most of the gaurds graduating, we will need some guards. Lockett wouldn't have changed that either way.

I'm going to go out on a limb and make a prediction (bookmark this for future mocking if I am wrong): there will not be any open scholarships in the fall, and Bubu will not be on scholarship. AND we will appear to be overcommitted for 2013-2014, and there will be many, many threads about this.

How's that for a fearless internet claim?

i find it interesting lockett committed after the uthoff visit. i bet bubu was promised a scholly, and uthoff is our preference.

that said, it would be nice to be marquette for a recruit just once. butler, buycks, maymom and lockett. we're at least 0-4. hah.
