***Official Mizzou Post Game Thread***

what sticks out to me is how badly we were outscored in the paint, thought we played well, I think if we had another shot we could take them. But Scotty has to know that he is not as quick as they are. That said they are the fastest team I've seen all year.

We played a great game. Just made too many mistakes in the last 10 minutes and our shooting went cold as a result.

I really hope we can beat Baylor on Saturday, should be another great game. We need to beat BU because I do not want to face KSU a 3rd time this season in KC.

Look at it this way. If our guys play like that. How many teams could beat them on a neutral court right now?

Kentucky and.....? I guarantee you Missouri or Kansas does not want to see ISU again.

Honestly, the only team I don't want to see again is K-State.

Well, shoot. Great effort out of our team. Missouri is a good team, and tough. They did what they had to do.

Really, really wonder why we didn't have Royce bringing up the ball during the critical stretch when Missouri was seizing control. Good things just happen when he does. I'm guessing Missouri did something to deter that?

A lot of good things to say about the team tonight though. They can play with anyone, anywhere at this point in the season.

For all you idiots out there that kept saying that Missouri was just too good for us.... NO THEY WEREN'T! We can beat Missouri, no doubt in my mind. We are good enough.

Yes, they are good, but so are we. Too many mistakes down the stretch, and some horrible calls. I hope we see them sometime in the Big 12 tourney, I think we'll get 'em.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, Jerry Palm gets his hate on...again.

This one stings because of how we had the lead through a good majority of the game to the #8 team in the nation, but we hung in there till the end. I'm not one to go off on a tangent and blame the refs, so at least we showed up and played tonight.

Now we can let them run off to SEC-land and make sure the door hits them in the *** on the way out.

Started this too soon, but yeah the refs won the game for them, **** anyone who thinks otherwise.
I couldn't agree more. The second half was awful. Mizzou got away with anything they wanted, especially reaches and hand checks. The proof lies in the foul difference throughout the game.

Great effort. Think about this for a second. If our guys come out and play like that how many teams could beat them on a neutral court? Kentucky and ....?

Proud of the way we hung with them. Wish we coulda finished it off.

I honestly felt like the refs were letting some hand checking go....one way. Telling sign that they were in the bonus with 10 minutes left in the half.

Scotty kept taking it to the rack, and I think by about the 8th time he took it in, got hammered, and didn't get a call, he probably should've gotten the memo.. refs just weren't interested in calling it on our end.

That being said, Mizzou had way, WAY too many easy opportunities inside, and part of it was due to their guards being able to get there and actually finish.

Rest of the story for ISU:
Turnovers, Turnovers, Turnovers
BAD transition defense. REALLY bad.

Frustrating game. Felt like we had it if we could have taken care of the dang ball in the second half. Poor decisions on whether to shoot or pass and the resulting turnover just killed us.

Gah. Want another game against these ****s, a game where Royce actuallys touches the ball in the second half.

Refs we're bad, but didn't cost us the game at all. Oh well, on to Baylor, and on to thrid place!

Love Scotty's effort. Kid has guts and gives his all. But didn't have it tonight. Have to cut him a break cause he was nails at KSU.

If we hit a few shots...

Refs definitely got emotional and hung up in the crowd for a 5 minute stretch and completely lost control. That happens on the road. Awful officiating but it what I expect.
