First Car?

1984 plymouth horizon ... No need to share pics on that $400 hunk of metal. 4 cylinder squirrel cage, but the 5 speed made that hatchback fly.

Followed by a 1983 camaro with t tops..... Loved that too.

1967 4-door Chevy Impala. A hand-me-down from my Grandpa who wasn't allowed to drive anymore, so he went out and bought a golf cart to drive around his small town!

1979 Vette was my first ride. Turd brown with a 5 speed stick shift that was put through stuff no vehicle should have to endure. Oh it was also a hatchback......

Chevette that is......

This is my first car... 1987 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Very advanced car for an 87. Sunroof, equalizer, everything power, push button suspension. I would easily buy this car if someone had one is perfect shape.

1995 V6 Mustang back in 2002. Had to go a full year w/o a ticket or accident with a V6 before I could get a V8.

One year later in 2003, sold the V6 and got my V8 (2000 Trans Am WS6). Haven't and do not plan to let it go. Too much blood, sweat, tears, and money in it to let it go.....

My sister had one of these, but with an automatic. Best car I've ever driven for pulling the old "yank the emergency break in an icy parking lot." That thing would never stop spinning.

1970 Grand Prix, 455 V8 engine. The car flat out flew. I had it up to 145 twice and could go faster but the road had a hairpin curve that I had to slow down for. Car got totaled in Ames at corner of Duff and S 3rd St. I was northbound, turning west onto S 3rd, with a green arrow. Some idiot going south was hoping light would turn green, needless to say it did not and he t-boned me. Loved that car.

I had the 1971 Grand Prix SJ (not my first car though), it also had the 455 V8. I will vouche for the fact that it flew. The speedometer did go up to 140-145, but the fastest I ever got it up to was 135. It probably was one of the best cars that I have ever owned. John DeLorean designed it for Pontiac. I have plenty of pictures of it but none are scanned yet.

I bought the car from Skeie Pontiac in Ames in 1971-2. It had been driven by Skeie's wife for about 2000 miles before I bought it. A historical bit about Skeie Pontiac: Skeie Pontiac

Here are pics of an identical one to mine (except the rims in the pics are not stock which mine were):

1976 Ford LTD. 390. Got a solid 6 MPG. What were my parents thinking when they bought it?

Good think they owned a c-store/gas station. I couldn't have afforded to drive it otherwise.

82 firebird se- gold with the knight rider and smokey and the bandit 3 hubcaps. V6, couldn't smoke tires, auto transmission. I started driving when I was 12, so this was technically my third car after the 88 olds wagon and Chevy farm truck I learned on , but I won't claim those.

I purchase mine first car last week.Mine first car is Audi A4.It is best technology car of the world.

Is it just me, or does it seem like CF must have reached areas of Germany, based on this post?

My first was a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. Got hit by a deer, backed into another car at a party, took a corner at like 80 and sideswiped a power pole, couple dents from where my 300 pound HS buddy decided to kick it, and then finally my brother was driving and somebody pulled out in front of him. Nobody got hurt, so it was basically like putting down a sick dog.

A red 03 extended cab Chevy Silverado. My Dad then traded in my truck for a new one for him, and I upgraded to his old one and what I've had for the past 5 years: A black 2005 crew cab chevy silverado

94 Pontiac Sunbird. It was basically this except red instead of blue. Apparently 200,000 miles makes a car give out after a while. Who knew?

My first car was a 1989 Pontiac Sunbird - 4 door. Same as the one below, only dark blue. My sister drove it before me and put it in the ditch a few times. I crunched it up twice within my first year driving. Haven't had a real wreck since.

77 Ford LTD here, Penny Copper, indestructible. I bought a light pole for the city of Ames, a stop sign, and two hatchbacks because I liked hitting things with this ride.
