D'Vario Montgomery

Does anyone want to do some more research on Fitch? I don't know how deep you can get, but it'd be interesting if he came back to coach at ISU.

I like the way you think. Would a WR coach pay as much as the OC at USF though?

Todd Fitch made $210,000 as OC at USF in 2010: Commentary: Offense pays in college football today - Sports - BradentonHerald.com

Courtney Messingham made $120,000 at ISU in 2010 (before assistant raises): Big 12, Big Ten assistant football coaching salaries

While I thought Fitch would have been an excellent choice for ISU's OC, I don't think Fitch would take a pay cut to be ISU's WR coach. Unless there's some kind of co-OC situation going on.

Would be awesome but until he signs,

He's probably more of a character risk than academic. He got suspended 6 games this year for swearing at a ref.

Oh how times have changed...a buddy of mine told a ref to, s his effing d...and got booted from the game but that was it...

Bobby Elliott $150,000

I would look more at Bobby Elliot's salary as he was a recruiting coordinator. Also, Rhoads has had two salary increases allotments for his assistants since then so I wouldn't count out matching his salary or increasing it a bit. Especially with ISU in the Big 12 and not the Big East. It would be awesome to hit Florida even harder and he would allow that. I would rather hit Florida and Texas harder and not worry as much about California, even though that is a good place to get players. I just think those two should be our #1 and #2 targets.

There is no way Todd Fitch is getting payed by USF and is recruiting for ISU. The only way its possible is if he already took the job at ISU and is also already working for us, and I'm pretty sure that would have been leaked by either our side (Chris, one of the recruits) or USF's side (Josh Newberg).

D'Vario,

You would be a great fit for the Cyclones. Our offense is perfect for a tall athletic reciever. Can you say Sports Center Highlights? Come play on the big stage at ISU. Cyclones, All In!

Who is this Massaquoi fellow Rivals says Montgomery reminds them of? :jimlad:

Wow. I agree on a strange commit to USF and visit to ISU given offer sheet. Did any of these schools pull their offer after character concerns?

From the USF board:

Duaron Williams is becoming a real pain.

There are some guys you just have to pass on. This just may be one if them.
I don't see that. If he comes here I'm sure he'll never live up to the expectations, but I don't see how he'll be a head case or anything. We've been on him since last December, Sam Richardson and Duaron Williams know him, I think we would pick up on a character flaw if he had one, and if he doesn't qualify (which I don't think is a problem) we still have a very good WR class already coming in.
