Larry Scott -- Longhorn Network will keep Texas from joining Pac-12 - ESPN

Larry Scott: Texas won't join Pac-12
by David Ubben, ESPN.com

The Pac-12's desire to make its own network -- and in the process prevent the creation of the Longhorn Network -- was a factor that kept Texas in the Big 12.

And now, with the Pac-12 set to make an official announcement later Wednesday about its network, Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott told the Austin American-Statesman that it all but eliminates the possibility of future membership for the Longhorns.

"I think you could certainly imply that, with the news that we're going to announce tonight," Scott told the newspaper. "The Longhorn Network would be certainly a huge impediment."

Scott reiterated his recent comments that future expansion was coming, but it's unlikely now that Texas would be a part of it.

"It's not something we are looking at now," he told the paper. "We did our deal. We're very happy with it. We're not thinking or looking at expanding at this moment, but we are trying to create the strongest conference possible. I do feel there will be further expansion, and I want to be an attractive place to come."

Scott also said he's watching the Longhorn Network's progress with the prospect of televising high school games, saying that if it's officially given permission by the NCAA, the Pac-12 Network will broadcast high school games as soon as the network goes live.

Sorry, my bad.

No worries. It is worth a second day of celebrating that Larry "The Tool" Scott has finally admitted that his pathetic attempt to destroy the Big XII and bring college athletics in general to Armageddon status FAILED!!!!!!! Greedy A-HOLE!!!!

Good points, both

If it comes down to a death match between Larry "The Tool" Scott and Don "Undefeated" Beebe, I'm going with the man who's faced Armageddon and came out alive.

Exactly. Dan "Undefeated" Beebe has stared death right in the face and he had the last laugh. Now... I will give Larry "The Tool" Scott credit where credit is due. He pulled off a major feat in ridding the Big XII of those losers from Colorado. I didn't think the Big XII would ever be able to find a way to get rid of them. In steps the magic man Larry "The Tool" Scott and with one little move of his magic wand, much like Kaiser Soze, "POOF" Colorado was gone. Thanks Larry!

You celebrate prematurely. As long as he is Pac-12 commissioner, he will keep trying...

Hey... we celebrate his failures one at a time. If he can't get Texas it looks like his plan to snatch the majority of the old Big XII South is doomed.

This cracks me up and really shows how pathetically desperate Larry Scott has become.
He is like the guy that got turned down by the hot chick for prom and then comes out and says he wouldn't take her even if she wanted.

Attention Larry Scott. You invited Texas to join the PAC 10 and they said no. Get that through your thick arrogant, ignorant head. They turned you down. You didn't turn them down. They turned you down. Dan Beebe owned you in the realignment debacle. You unzipped your pants, stuck your wanker out and Dan Beebe cut it off.
