WOW. Sorry about the "looms" comment. Damn smart phones. Okay. Back from the graduation but now have to hit the road back to Ames to get ahead of this nasty weather. Have to be in Newton early tomorrow. Just posted a quick blog on the front page.

He already signed one with Dayton and you can only sign one. He didn't have to sign a LOI with us.
Graduations are overrated anyway. Just give me the piece of paper and a party. I don't care about having to parade across a stage in front of people. When my dad graduated college, he sat through his commencement reading Readers Digest. I plan on continuing the family tradition when I graduate from Iowa State.
Anyway, when a player like this signs this late in the game, it's big for a program like Iowa State.
I didn't even attend the ISU graduation. No way was I going to sit through thousands of people walking across the stage. I told my parents if they wanted a picture of me graduating college, I'd put my HS cap and gown on and they could take a picture. (lucky for me our HS had the same colors of caps and gowns as ISU) :smile:
Did this change over the past 10 years or so? When I graduated they just had us stand and conferred degrees on us and then it came in the mail later.
From watching his videos and reading some of the recent reports/articles, it appears that Percy will fill in nicely for Godfrey and probably has a much bigger upside than CG did anyway.
The next two years are going to be damn exciting to watch for Cyclone fans!

I'm not sure, you're probably right. I'd imagine at the separate "college of ____" graduation ceremony you actually walk across the stage, but at the main University one, they don't.
This is great news. This definitely helps the bigs down low for next year and he should get some decent minutes as a frosh... Way to go Cyclone Staff!!!! Keep up the good work.
Yeah, although I know some schools do this and it is excruciating. Anyway, great news on the commitment!
