Any chance of DG getting drafted if he continues to play this well in big 12? What do you guys think?

i'm sure FH will help DG get a ton of tryouts. if he plays well, who knows? he's got a shot!

DG will get looked at no doubt..Prob a mid second rounder with no guarantees. Any point guard with over 15 ppg, and the assist to turnover ratio he has should be drafted.

But I've been told for the past couple of years that its the system that gets him that stat...he can't be that good:jimlad:

Well, Jimlad, under a pro or CFH system, he makes the cut. Under a slow ball use the clock system, he is Euro qualified. He can do both. That said, I think he gets a tryout this summer in Vegas.

In my opinion, all he's maybe missing is strength, but that can be worked on.

With all the games on full court or elsewhere, it is easier to scout from afar than 30 years ago. Right now he will be playing some NBA like guards, and it will be interesting to see how well he does against them in this system. A nice highlight to show the scouts - his dropoff assist pass for the Godfrey dunk was excellent as he took a sneak peak behind him and Calvin coming for the CW monster dunk.

His shooting has definitely improved, but it is still the biggest weakness in his game and I think will probably prevent him from being drafted. The potential is there, the consistency is not.

If an NBA team wants him, they don't want him for his shooting anyway. He has a combination of length and speed that few others do; NBA scouts covet that. If he gets picked up, it'll be as a third point, who is just there to blend in, handle and distribute the ball, and defend the opponent's point, particularly against the pick-and-roll.

He's got a decent shot, but I think it will depend far more on his wins and assists than his point totals.

He's on the radar now at least. I would be surprised if he was drafted but it's not impossible. I suspect he'll play in the weaker pre-draft camp at Portsmouth and he'll get a summer league invite. Hopefully he makes the most of his great senior year.

I think the fact that he's so skinny won't help. I give him almost no chance to be drafted but slightly more than 0% to make a team as an undrafted free agent. Fred can only help.

No chance. I know that time makes people forget how good some players were but does anyone here really feel like he's better than Stinson? Curt didn't get drafted for exactly the same reason DG won't get drafted, he can't shoot.

NBA is all about offense. Offense is what Diante lacks as well as strength. He is a fast point who is a good, not great, ball handler. At the NBA level, that speed will not separate him from other players because they will have just as much or more speed. He will get a try out but with his lack of offensive skill and strength, it will be very difficult for him to make a team. He can make a very solid European player.

Who, at the college level, would you say is a great ball handler?

Jamal Tinsley was a great ball handler. John Wall is a great ball handler. I haven't watched enough of other teams this season to put a name on someone that is currently in basketball.
