Top 5 Songs

I read the Replacements book "Troubled Boys". Wow, what a story. There was no one in rock and roll history that was crazier than them. They should have been huge, so much talent. Their legend will continue to grow though. As I understand it, the people that made Stranger Things are doing a movie on The Replacements.
I have "Trouble Boys," haven't read it yet, I'd like to sequester some time so I can do larger chunk of reading instead of bits & pieces, and I'm still finishing a few other music-related books (currently consuming "I Wouldn't Say It if It Wasn't True," memoir by Steve Wynn of The Dream Syndicate).

I hadn't heard of that movie being in the works. I'm intrigued.

There's too much music to distill, it's just going to be boomers and gen x like me saying zepellin, some old ****, pumpkins and etc etc forever
now if you want to talk current music, maybe these songs by this band Wet Leg.

I'm "X-Boomer" gen, and I've been obsessed recently by Wet Leg.

Two of the group's songs are on my "New Encounters" Spotify playlist for '25/'26.

2. Roll with the Changes, REO Speedwagon

3. Never Been Any Reason (live), Head East

4. Let’s Go, The Cars

5. Come On Eileen, Dexys Midnight Runners

I'll give a like, because of the Cars. I haven't listened to the others yet.

Love it. Probably the best music biography I've ever read. Have it out on the corner shelf stand in my home office. Replacements are my favorite band of all time. They should've been huge but they never could've gotten out of their own way to allow that to happen. I love the story about when they were recording in the same studio as Metallica in 1989 and got so sh*tfaced and destructive they actually scared the hell out of the guys in Metallica.
