Browns traded Frye to Seattle this morning. That was quick. Enter Brady Quinn as starter very soon in Cleveland.

I guess Seneca will be more of a receiver now. Hopefully he gets to play more.

I'm not sure that means Quinn gets the job quicker, they just saw that they no longer had any plans for Frye and wanted to get something for him while they still could.

IMO, I still think they shouldn't play Quinn until a few more weeks - wait until that brutal stretch is done. A good coach doesn't change his entire philosophy on when to put a new player in just after one week of football - that would be a knee-jerk reaction.

As far as Seneca - FINALLY! I do hope they're bringing in Frye for that purpose - to allow Seneca to get on the field.

They got Frye to be their third stringer I'm pretty sure. Seattle is pretty high on Seneca. If Hasselbeck goes down, they have faith in Seneca to get the job done.

Poor Charlie Frye...he's a joke.

yeah seneca is quite a bit better than frye...and i dont think they would give their 3rd string qb a 2 yr $6 million extension. too bad seneca didnt go to the browns in the trade...

I believe Holmgren has hinted that Seneca is the best WR on the roster. He previously wanted another QB as insurance if Seneca were to play another position and get hurt, thus leaving the Seahawks without a quality backup.

Seattle lost one of their WRs to injury Sunday (Hackett) so I'm guessing this will enable Seneca to be their #3 or #4 WR until they get healthy again. I'm with 22, I want to see the man on the field making plays.

Someone give Holmgren a call, if he won't use Seneca - we'd like to!

Somehow, Pollard aught to be able to figure out how to squeeze out an extra 10 or so years of eligibility for #15...

i dont think seneca would be better than branch but he could be a solid #2. the problem then becomes...if he is a WR who is going to throw him the ball. sure not hasselbeck.

They need to trade Seneca to Miami, that would be a dream come true, a good QB in miami, has not happend since Marino left.

Don't forget Scott Mitchell and Damon Huard! Those guys were awesome (for 1 game each).

just read this on yahoo fantasy

Sep 10 Wallace could be used at wide receiver now that D.J. Hackett is out indefinitely with an ankle sprain.
Advice: "My ace in the whole is Seneca Wallace," coach Mike Holmgren said. The Seahawks have used Wallace, Matt Hasselbeck's backup quarterback, sporadically at wide receiver, most notably for catches in each of the last two postseasons. But Holmgren said the team would have to sign a third, veteran quarterback to the roster before he will risk Wallace to injury as a receiver.¶

Seneca Wallace moving to WR and KR?

Pending physical the Seattle Seahawks have acquirred QB Chalie Frye from the Cleveland Browns. Looks like Seneca could see some playing time at WR and KR. One of Seattle's recievers got hurt this week too. Seneca is a playmaker, they certainly needed to get him on the field. I don't think Seattle would pick up Frye to be thier 3rd string QB.
