Well sitting in a chair pushing a pedal and turning a wheel doesn't constitute a sport, so you got that one knocked off your list.
I'd put my money on women's softball.[/QUOTE]
Is there another kind?
Being from Souixland, I'm surprised you don't know this. Men's fastpitch used to be HUGE in the midwest. Then, along came slowpitch. Fat, lazy ***** who bastardized the game. That, and it's not easy to pitch underhand. The crop of pitchers dried out.
Fastpitch softball is one of the most difficult sports around, and it deserves a lot of respect because of that. I was an above average baseball player, and decided to play fastpitch instead of semi-pro baseball (when I say semi-pro, I mean one of those kinda-rec-league baseball things) when I was done, because my old man played fastpitch.
Talk about challenging. Those guys are throwing from an arm slot you don't see in baseball, and because of that, they can make the ball move in all four directions (including up), instead of 3 (most can only make a baseball move in 2 directions. Fernando Valenzuela and the knuckleballers excluded). Not only that, but they are so damn close, the time for you to react is so much shorter (milliseconds shorter, but in baseball/softball, that's a lot of time).
Anyway, as mentioned...women's softball is not even close to the worst sport around.
