Laron Dendy to transfer...guard on campus?

Iowa State men’s basketball coach Fred Hoiberg announced today that LaRon Dendy, a senior-to-be from Greenville, S.C., has asked for and been granted his release to transfer to another school.
The 6-9, 230-pound power forward played in 24 games for the Cyclones in his only year with the team in 2009-10, averaging 7.3 points and 3.6 rebounds. Dendy shot 60 percent from the field (69-115 FG) and ranked seventh in the Big 12 in blocks at 1.3 bpg.
“LaRon and I met yesterday and he informed me of his intentions to transfer to another school,†Hoiberg said. “He explained to me this was something he has been considering for quite some time. We will do everything we can to help LaRon in his future goals.â€
Hoiberg also confirmed that Antwon Oliver will not be returning to the team. A native of Racine, Wis., Oliver redshirted last season in his only year with the Cyclones.

2 more schollies freed up I guess. Keep bringin e'm in Freddy! Kind of stinks though, would have liked Laron around next year.

Don't understand why any of you are upset.
We won 4 games with the guys we had. Might as well clean house and start completely over.

I thought LaRon was all out of eligibility - how is he going to transfer?
He can either sit out a year and play his senior year like Tony Freeman from Iowa did or he can transfer to DII or DIII and play right away.
