Lucca's Facebook Status (4/26/10)

What a couple of douches.

Ham owes the chance to play somewhere else to Iowa State and McDermott taking a chance on a raw, skinny kid and coaching him up. My opinion of him just dropped about 50%.

Enjoy those 3 minutes a game in the Euro D-League Lucca.

(Ahhhh.....I feel better now)

So Lucca is bashing Gmac for leaving the program AFTER the season? Interesting that a guy who quit in the middle of the season would say a word about anyone else. Talk about throwing stones in a glass house.

And let's be honest..both these guys know how many Cyclone fans would see these post's. It was a shot at ISU as well make no mistake.

Mac didn't leave mid season. Also, the majority is happy he is leaving. The simple fact is that most people quit on him long before he quit on us.

Or he chased away his players and staff with his approach and then made them feel like **** on the way out for "abandoning their family".

I think it is both an interesting insight into how players felt about McD, and a back-handed pot shot from a couple of quitters. It can be both, right?

Ya got it all figured out, huh? Couldn't be that Hamilton tried to take the high road and not throw egg on the fact of ISU MBB? Nope, that couldn't be it at all. And then when people called him on it, he fessed up.

It's really, really easy to blame the kids...even an athletic director can do it!

I didn't blame them for anything. I stated facts. He never fessed up to anything, his dad did. Lucca left here mid season when the first albeit ****** opportunity came to him. That was always his intention. If Hamilton wanted to take the high road he should have just kept his mouth shut.

Who knows if those FB pages are really them though? I know that sometimes there are idiots that make a page and claim to be someone. I have Sage Rosenfels as a FB friend and I've figured out that there is no way it's really him based off some of the content that gets posted.

Yeah, he's really taking the high-road now, laughing publicly at the ISU program. Classy kid. Obviously those two didn't enjoy their time at ISU. That said, they don't need to be ****-heads about it now, and rub it in the faces of the fans who supported them while they were here.

I have a friend that started a business years back. Struggled to get it going. She had another friend that helped her a ton to get started. Referred people, loaned her money, etc. My friend was very grateful for this.

Over the years though, this other person behaved as if she owned my friend. Reminded her constantly the favors, referrals, etc. Treated her like crap.

Eventually my friend had enough. She didn't owe this person money anymore. Thanked her one last time for helping her get started but reminded this person it was her own work that built that business. And cut all ties with her.

Was she wrong? Should she have tolerated the nonsense because this person helped her get a good start?

I've heard from more than one person Greg was not nice to the players. Preached family and would be nice as can be one minute - but could turn vicious the next. I would not disagree players need to toughen up - but from what I understand coach/player relations were very, very inconsistent in Ames.

Lucca and JHam's are themselves.

Yep.

Only disappointed in Ham. Apparently according to the all-knowing around here - he took the "high road" when leaving. Maybe, maybe not. Clearly that road hit a valley.

It's them.

boozers, luccas, and gilstraps are real I'm not friends with any others so I don't know about them.

Not surprised to see the post from Lucca, but to see it from Hamilton was surprising.

I think it's a jerk move by both of them to post this publicly. If you feel that way, keep it to yourself. I take it as a back-handed insult to the other players, school, and fans as well.

Probably the best post in the entire thread, and I wanted to make sure it didn't get lost in the shuffle.
