A&M 4 point loss, OSU 5 point loss, OU 5 point loss. Do you consider those being blown off the court with no effort? I realize OU is not as good as years past but all of them were rated at one point this season.

Maybe our reading comprehension is different - the thread title said nothing about success. And the thread title is wrong, nothing changes after tonight.
Really? There are at least 5 other threads that have mentioned Monday's presser that is going to be about this very topic.
Yeah. I am happy for the team, but I still think McD needs to go. We are the number 11 seed in the tourney. This game didn't change anything about that.
If it takes the apparent threat of the coach losing his job to inspire his team to play like this, then we are in trouble.

Correct, but we finished the season tied for 9th place. Look, I'm not saying I'm proud of our 9th place finish. I'm just saying to all of the people piling on McDermott that they should at least be fair when they rag on him. However, some people are so overly zeolous in their desire to get rid of McDermott that they don't let the facts get in their way.
For the love of God man, if even this can't allow you to put the torches and pitchforks away for one night, nothing will.

I think everybody is pretty ecstatic with the win. That doesn't discount the original question (or statement) of this thread. We finished 11th in the conference and haven't sniffed a winning conference record in four years, so its understandable that one upset over a top 25 team in four years doesn't quite get people on the McD bandwagon.

Wouldn't that remove doubt from people's minds.
If he says McD's job is safe, there is no question. By being silent there is question, and doubt.
If he needs to affirm that he's supporting Mac, it means that there was any doubt in the first place about it.
