Hey Fanatics, who else is going to step up and be with me and say we need answers from jamie pollard on that state of the basketball program i used to enjoy watching ISU Basketball but know it isnt even fun to watch anymore cause no matter how hard we play and try it ends up in a blowout. Everybody says give it time well im tired of that Lame Excuse i want to know where this program is going seems to be its going into the ground.

JP is completely aware of what is going on. I'm not a huge Jamie fan, but he is not totally stupid!
Folks, just have patience. It takes like 5 to 10 years to get your athletes in the program and for them to understand the system. We will get there. I mean it is greedy to think ISU should make the NCAA tourney more than a couple times in a decade.

5 to 10 years to get the players in the system? You do realize they graduate after 4, right? By the 3rd or 4th year, you should have your guys in the program and understanding the system - well that were if there appeared to be a system.
And this from the biggest GMac supporter from day 1 until about November 15th. Incredibly person, but not a good fit for ISU apparently.
Agreed, but they don't even put the post game interviews on Cyclones.com anymore. At least they acknowledge it is a mess.
I also believe there were comments made about the rebuild being a 5 year process and that he would consider the 5th year basically Mac's first year here.
Of course looking back at what we had under Morgan, did we really need to rebuild? We had much better results in his tenure than we are having now. And in the interest of full disclosure, I was fine with letting Wayne go as I thought while his teams were very talented, they were also poorly coached and not disciplined.

Hmmmmmm, let's see, we're 1-3 in the conference after playing two road games and two home games against the #1 and #3 teams in the nation. Did folks honestly think we'd come out of this stretch with a much better record? I was hoping we might, but I certainly wasn't planning on it.
I agree that this has been a really tough stretch, but I'm not ready to stick a fork in this team just yet. The season is a marathon. Hopefully, as the schedule becomes much more realistic, we can turn things around quickly.

Regardless of wins or losses, people expect to see a good effort along with disciplined basketball...have you seen that this season?
BINGO! It isn't really the record that concerns, I think a lot of people could have seen a 1-3 start with this schedule. It is the fact that we keep making the same mistakes as always, there just aren't any signs of growth. And a lot of the time there isn't much sign of any heart or hustle either. If I was seeing that I would have hope that we turn it around, but without it I have no idea why the results are going to change. I'm not the one quitting on this team, it looks like the team is quitting on the team.
