Metcalf antics

Metcalf is obviously frustrated that Mueller doesn't even try to compete. Mueller just goes out and tries to avoid getting pinned but makes no effort to actually win the match. That's why he made the motion, because it was a joke the way Mueller approaches that match.

He should keep his emotions in check but at the same time it would be very frustrating to face a guy who just wants to lay down and sprawl out on his stomach for the entire match.

I can understand Mueller putting the team first and trying not to give up bonus pts, but as a ranked Div. I wrestler, don't you have some pride and the competitiveness to try and compete? I just don't understand why he would lay down.

I suppose it's okay for Varner's guy to do that though?

Not only was Varner's opponent not ranked, he is a backup...so yeah that's perfectly understandable.

I don't have a problem with Mueller doing it either if he thinks that's the best he can do.

I know nothing about wrestling but that just seems like smart "team" wrestling to me.

I was watching and saw him do the jerk off motion.

And Brands seems like the biggest dbag out of all of them.

The meet was decided before Varner's match started. Nice try though. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Mueller take the first shot of the match? Yes, on bottom he didn't do much but that's not unusual in a college match.

DBag coach, DBag wrestler. Nothing they do is a surprise.

Why is it that I have a feeling after wrestling meets, Brands and Metcalf put on their TapOut/Edhardy bedazzled sweat suits and go look at themselves in the mirror for a few hours before crying themselves to sleep. From their behavior, I have a feeling they might have some daddy issues. Has anyone ever heard Brands interviewed? One of the funnier things Ive heard, Tough guy motors.

You either didn't watch this match or don't know wrestling. Mueller put forth a solid effort, much more than in previous matches against Metcalf.

Did you even watch the match? I think Mueller probably took more shots than Metcalf did. Metcalf is obviously the better wrestler and was more successful in his shots, but to say Mueller didn't even try makes you look like a complete idiot. You may want to rewatch that match. I think most of Metcalf's points came from him countering Muellers shots. You have no idea what you are talking about.

I sense alot of jealousy in these messages. You guys would love to have Brands as a head coach as much as you will all deny it......but I understand we stole Gable from you and your just use to not winning by now.

While we understand what happened during the match, this is a warning to all to watch what is said about the "motion" during the match.

If you knew what you were talking about you would know we let you have Gable. Wrong decision, probably, but you didn't steal anything. Cael was better anyway.

Cael better wrestler? Yes. Better coach? He hasn't proved anything yet and at this rate to bring in a class like he did and not win a NC thats not good and a recruiting class won't get much better. Also 1 year with these boys and KJ has made most of them much better wrestlers in my eyes.

I think most people here would agree with that.
