You heard me right, I want Steve Alford as the coach of ISU. I know he choked in the tourney every year with Iowa but atleast they got there. He also has 46 wins in 2 seasons with New Mexico. He's good at recruiting and developing players (a must) also.

EDIT: Well Alford's New Mexico team is 7-0 and just beat California. We better beat Cal!

What was his record at Iowa State when a guy named Tinsley wasn't on the roster? He was a great coach when he had an All-American handling the ball.

1999: 15-15 (6-10)
2000: 32-5 (14-2)
2001: 25-6 (13-3)
2002: 12-19 (4-12)
2003: 17-14 (5-11)

101-59 (42-38) if I added stuff right.
44-48 (15-33) without a guy named Tinsley.

Tell me exactly how teams without a Tinsley guy are different than what we have now?

Todd Lickliter won National Coach of the Year. Plenty of guys have one trip to the Elite Eight, and nothing else to show for it.
