I caught up 6-foot-2 Class of 2011 wing Taylor Greenfield out of Ballard High located in Huxley, Iowa yesterday. Greenfield - who is currently the #13 ranked player in the JumpOffPlus.com rankings - has several scholarship offers already including her most recent pickup, Stanford. The Cardinal have jumped in the mix along with Duke, Kansas, Iowa State, Michigan State and Missouri State for the lang, rangy wing player. Greenfield showed well when I saw her back in May at the Regional Skills Academy in Indianapolis and was solid again out in Colorado for the USA Basketball U16 Trials.

Guess we will wait to see if she applies to Stanford, which Hoop Gurlz usually catches.

we really need to pick her up she would be great for the program.. i feel like ISU womens basketball is taking a big step forward and with the newcomers we have this year the future looks bright

I know she was looking at Duke (and vice versa) but the Devils have some verbals from some strong wing players in the 2010 class.

Top talent girls basketball players are different than top talent mens basketball players IMO. What I mean by that is a top 10 mens bball player can go to any team in the country. Academics don't matter, because they are going to the NBA.

Girls basketball is different. The WNBA pay isn't that great and there are less spots available because there are less teams. Getting a good education is more important. Thus I think Stanford is tough for ISU to beat out for her.

All speculation on my part

Tara, if your going to post stuff like this at least have the decency to spell your recruits name correctly !! Fennelly would never mispell her name like this !!

According to an article about Jade Rogers in the Register it is down to Iowa and us. Her mom says she doesn't even know.

The top prospect in the state who is still undecided is Exira's Hallie Christofferson, who is choosing between Iowa and Iowa State.

"It's still a big decision," said her mother, Phyl Christofferson. "She has not decided. She keeps a lot of it to herself. We're in the dark, too."

Players can sign Wednesday, but they have a week to do so. Phyl Christofferson said Hallie might take an extra day or two.
