Who's better Vette or Barz?

I've never seen Vette play, but I did go to the same high school as Barz so I saw him play a lot. If you are looking for a physical player, Barz is NOT it. He has nice moves and a good shot, but is not physical at all. I would guess Barz is more skilled offensively than Vette, but Vette is a better rebounder and probably a better scorer around the basket.

Vette because he is going to Iowa State. I have seen neither play and Vette is way better. What would you rather have a CorVette or a Barz.

Exactly. It seems we second guess our own guys alot. We need to have more confidence in out players and staff. I want to see it borderline cocky like the husker and hawk fans. I want us to say we are awesome and we will be awesome from here on out.

Not exactly what I meant by that. Gimme a break. I would like to have the attitude that we will win. We tend to question every decision a coach makes.

I know a bit about Barz and he is tall but very thin and not a physical player. You can play at a high level in high school with these traits, but unfortunately he would probably get eaten in the Big 12. Vette's size and level of physical play alone makes him a better bet to succeed on the college level.

I would be willing to bet that McDermott would be really happy to have Barz, since he did commit to him last year. I'd also be willing to bet McDermott took the high road and didn't try to re-recruit him, in deference to his former school.

I have heard from of a friend of mine that coaches baseball at Johnston, that he has seen Barz in the weight room, and he said he can only max out at 170?!?!?!?!

With that fact in my mind i would definently take Vette in the paint, but what i have seen Barz is a better offensive skilled player.

True, but i doubt Barz has a 40+ inch verticle. Wesley really started to bulk up late in the season. I noticed that he was bigger at the end than begining of the season.

on what squat in that case i can lift more than him and I max around 250 uni will have a quality bench warmer in barz if that is in squat because if a big guy leans on him he'll collapse... would be fun to see jiri physically dominate somebody... anyway back to barz-ics(I thank you) UNI will probably combo him w/egleseder to protect him inside if that is in bench he'll still be physically dominated by every body
