NFL: Vick to Eagles

LMAO!

I can't wait to hear McNabb react to this. He was quite upset (as well as his mommy) over the Kolb signing - this should be epic!

IMO, the Eagles looked to have a great shot at winning the NFC East this season with certain moves they made this offseason. However, this has the potential to really tear the team apart.

Established QB means he isn't in the spotlight and in direct competition for the QB job. Plus McNabb has some injuries every now and then so he'd be an adequate backup.

Re: Vick to the eagles

Wow. Three post on this?

Haven't you heard? It's a race to post anything first, the hotter the news the more gold stars you get. There will definitely be more than three "new" threads about this by the end of the night.

You honestly think some NFL team is going let him start week 1 when he hasn't played in over 2 years? McNabb is usually out for a couple of weeks every year, I like this fit for him.

I realize that, but why sign a 2 year deal?

You have got to feel for McNabb. He may complain a lot but has there ever been a franchise player that has had to put up with more **** and backstabbing from management and their fans?

I don't feel one bit sorry for him. Why? 3 words---Free Chunky Soup.

Yup, Eagles just added another elite athlete... Hobbs, Maclin, that rookie RB that's name is slipping my mind, Vick,

If I'm McNabb, Im not threatened. I think everyone knows that he isn't coming in to be a starter. Afterall, they don't even know his suspension yet. This just gives the offense more options, and the defenses more headaches.... like Westbrook wasn't enough...

$1.6 million first year and up to $5 million the second year.

I never thought he'd get that much for the first two years with so many unknowns. I fgured the minimum for year 1 and a 50% raise for year 2 at best.

I wonder how many clauses there are in that contract?

I really don't feel bad for the guy simply because...

- He's habitually injured
- Anytime the going gets tough, he whines.

Great player, no doubt. Just am amused by his whining, rather than just dealing with it and moving forward.
