Stopped by Kum&Go on Welch today. They have a large stack of cases with the special cans by the registers and some in the cooler. The guy working said that they didn't want to take any black and gold cases, but the distributor insisted. He said that they stacked those cases so they are surrounded by cardinal and gold cases. Doesn't expect to sell many of the hok cans.

I will say that the ISU colored cans look a LOT better than the iowa colored ones. They didn't use a very good black.

going to be in ames for a wedding this weekend and thinking about picking some up. is there a price premium due to the can or are they priced normally for BL? if they're double the price (like the cubs aluminum bottles are here) i'll pass. thanks in advance

Kum and go on first street in Ankeny has like 100 of them....all we got were isu ones cause the boss hates Iowa.

I have never seen beer at any Target. Only wine, and I think I saw a Target that had spirits as well.

SuperTarget in Urbandale had both yesterday. I picked up a couple cases of Cardinal and Gold.:yes:

Yeah, the Lincoln Center Hy-Vee in Ames has a ton of them and big ISU BL displays.

I know you meant the one in Ankeny, and figured it was a SuperTarget if it sold groceries, which would include alcohol. I was just saying that I have never seen beer at any SuperTarget before. (Cedar Rapids x2, Ames, Altoona)

Oldpeopleville only has a grocery store, post office, one bank, and a bowling alley. I guess they also have a bar, but that just opened this spring.
