Doctor Who

That's one reason why I wish we had Dvr or Tivo. I could program it to record anything Dr Who....and maybe get some of the old stuff. I'm not sure IA PBS is running the old stuff anymore though. And I can't stay up till midnight Saturday nights any more to find out.

I think my brother said IA was one of the last states to still rerun it.....but that was years ago.

I know they still were at least for part of the last year, because I remember it being on while I stumbled into bed a lot of Saturday nights.

I've only watched Doctor Who via the internet... never actually caught it on the tele

Those are the new episodes though... never seen the old ones. It's on the eventual to do list

Somewhere between Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Doctor Who, Star Trek, Dungeons and Dragons and World of Warcraft exists a fine line between nerd, geek and dork.

can you pm me a link to whatever website you're watching it on?

Classic Doctor Who hasn't been on IPTV since March, at least according to IPTV's website. That's a shame, because I watched a lot of those old episodes when I was a high school/college outcast. Now I just watch the new series as an adult outcast.

A lot of the classic series episodes are available from Netflix, many of them through their instant watching feature. All four seasons of the new series are available on DVD in the US but are really expensive to buy. Torchwood too. The new miniseries is available on BluRay--haven't seen how much it costs.

Thanks for looking!

I've youtubed the new Dr Who......You can find some of the old ones at video stores....but it's a toss up of what's there. And yes, I admit to maybe liking the show a bit too much. But my brother's worse. I think he's bought almost all the videos he can get of the old ones.

Doctor Who and its spinoff Torchwood are two of my favorite shows on TV. Did anybody catch the Torchwood miniseries on BBC America last week?

I liked Tom Baker and Davison from the old days. Tennant may end up being the best. I don't envy the new guy since Davies is not going to be writing it anymore.

But Torchwood(with the latest miniseries) may go down as one of the best sci fi series ever...

An attempt to set up the stupidest basis for a world record? :jimlad:

No kidding. Did they even set up some sort of rubric to attempt to justify it? And doesn't this go against the whole purpose of the Guinness book? (settling debates not starting them)
