North Dakota St. Game?

99% of Bison fans are very good, respectful fans.

We should bring around 10k down to Ames if the tix are available. It should be a good time in tailgating prior to the game. NDSU travels well.

Cyclones should win this one....easily....IMO...the Bison should put up a good showing. After a few FBS wins the last few yrs, many Bison fans expect a win in every FBS game. Every year a few FCS schools beat the "big boys" of FBS........could this be one of them?....maybe. For it to happen the Bison have to play mistake free ball and ISU has to have a terrible game. If we turn the ball over more than once or twice this could get ugly very fast.

Looking forward to the game.

Good luck to the Cyclones in the Big XII!

Dude....this is a message board. We don't need thoughtful, respectful, and dignified posting like this.:skeptical:

This reminds me of the kid that played for SDSU last year that I work with. He started talking trash to me because I had ISU stuff on, and then told me he was the corner back that gave up a touchdown to Sedrick Johnson in the corner of the end zone. He said he played it perfect and SJ was lucky to even touch the ball. Then he told me we were lucky their QB had an off day because we got dominated in everything but turnovers.

NDSU is NOT SDSU. stop with that line people!

^^^^expect 100% chance of Thunder on sept 3rd, and your police will be going through tailgate blaring this over the loudspeaker again! ^^^^

oh, they don't know i've been D1 for my whole life, not just 2 years like most of them.

Apparently, We cant have some good trash talking, then you're labelled a certain way.

*sigh* return key works, so does MY CAPSLOCK! LETS PUMP IT UP AMES!!!!!

See you in the End Zone.!!

My mistake on suggesting difficulties with the "Return" key. I now see that it is paragraphs with which you struggle (and spelling, capitalization and punctuation). My apologies for the misstep.

I found an interesting stat today

In Close Games (7 points or less. Since 2001) RECORD
NDSU 7 - 7
ISU 13 - 8
Not that I expect it to be close....

thanks balkan. you will be spared in my team's pillaging of Ames on Sept 3rd.

I appreciate the consideration. However, for future reference, please use the spelling, "balken." I will view your pillaging with interest.

North Dakota State is a team I am very familiar with. For years they were a D-II national power, without a doubt the most dominant team in division 2. Then 5 years ago, they made the transition to D-I (FCS), the same path UNI took back in the 80's. In fact, UNI was in the same league as North Dakota State for a number of years prior to jumping to D-I.

Anyway, I don't think North Dakota State can beat Iowa State, but don't be surprised if they "hang around". The question that really exists is what the gap is between D-I AA (now FCS) and D-I? Last year as an example, Cal-Poly took Wisconsin to overtime in Madison. In all fairness, Cal-Poly should have won that game. NDSU has beaten 3-4 D-I teams since the move to D-I. If FCS teams are getting better ( Appalachain State beats Michigan in the BIG HOUSE), then I think it is reasonable to assume that the gap between these teams has narrowed, and Iowa State coaches cannot overlook the Bison. If they do, and are not prepared, they might be in for a long day. I hope not, but that is the reality of it.

I think Coach Rhoades understands the importance of a good start for his team. My guess is he will open up the playbook for a couple of reasons. First, he needs to win this game convincingly in my opinion. Second, he wants to give Iowa multiple looks and sets in which they have to prepare to defend against.

I want Iowa State to win big, and if they do against a darned good team, then we have taken a step in the right direction. Good luck Cyclones!!!

I expect a wide margin of victory but I would also assume our coaching staff (especially on offense) will not be showing our hand before the Iowa game. Always an important factor in these games. As well, I'd hope our 2nd team gets plenty of snaps.

Wait a minute..........North Dakota is a state?! Huh, I always thought it was a Canadian territory...I would NEVER have thought that the U.S.A. would claim that area as it's own. And we're playing a team from there?! How cute!

Fan: ******* answer me!

Looks like there will be alot of people heading to Ames from NDSU.

Last year at UNI there was 3000+ so expect that, and hopefully 5000. that would make me personally happy.

If you guys were a better team (2-10) I bet alot more Twin Citie NDSU alum's woulda made the trip.

have a good weekend.
