Flo to concentrate on basketball

Many of you have asked me if ISU Cross Country will be in the mix for next fall. While it was a great opportunity, I have hung up my spikes for good. I want to put all my energies into leaving my mark in the basketball program like so many seniors have before me. With that said, I so look forward to seeing all of you on the hardwood next year.

This is good news. With Yackley and Rockall gone, we need all the guard depth we can get. Running XC last season meant Flo really wasn't game-ready for basketball until conference season started, but with all the depth we had it wasn't really a concern. This year, we need her to be ready.

Also of note in the article: Lyndsey Medders is now officially Bill's daughter-in-law. Billy and Lyndsey got married earlier this month.

I didn't know until about a month ago she did both. She never mentioned it in the times I've been around her.

Last season was the only season she did it. She was a top-notch XC runner in high school, and last fall she got the itch to try it in college.

She was the state champ in Missouri's big class either her junior or senior year.

Hopefully Flo's internship will not screw up her potential for PT next season. From what I heard BF doesn't require it but prefers to have the girls on campus over the summer.
