if you really wanna see it, there's gotta be a non-IMAX option. But if you are dead set on IMAX it's gonna be tough anywhere.I can't even get a ticket. Is it only in Waukee on IMAX for a week?
Ya if you want to sit first couple rows. That would just ruin it for me. First movie filmed completely in IMAX so I'd like to see it that way.if you really wanna see it, there's gotta be a non-IMAX option. But if you are dead set on IMAX it's gonna be tough anywhere.
There are IMAX seats open for all showings today at The Palm in Waukee.
i assume you're looking for today? there are single seats smack dab in the middle or side far back from the screen for almost every show tomorrow.Ya if you want to sit first couple rows. That would just ruin it for me.
No, two seats, that's the problem. My Dad ain't gonna make it through a 10 pm showing. We're fine waiting but it's only listed out a week on the website.i assume you're looking for today? there are single seats smack dab in the middle or side far back from the screen for almost every show tomorrow.
Only listing out a week for showtimes after release is typical. I'm sure it will be in IMAX for several weeks at least, and probably longer. It doesn't look like there are any big blockbusters that will push it out of IMAX any time soon. No, two seats, that's the problem. My Dad ain't gonna make it through a 10 pm showing. Thanks. I was worried the theaters could only reserve the IMAX screening for so long.Only listing out a week for showtimes after release is typical. Edit: I forgot about Spiderman, but according to this article Odyssey has IMAX locked up for 4 weeks and will keep that out of the IMAX format.

At my local IMAX the guy also mentioned that they're anticipating this will be the "Gone With the Wind" type film they put in every IMAX for **years** moving forward when there's no stand out new releases. It will just be the default go to when they have showings to fill.Only listing out a week for showtimes after release is typical. It's tracking to make around $100M this weekend. ******* incredible. Nolan's biggest opening weekend for a movie (NOT including Dark Knight movies) was Oppenheimer at around $82M.They can keep doin' that with Nolan's back catalog as long as they want.
They'll keep gettin' my money if they do.
You did see it though.the one with Jeffrey Wright? That was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
Also, not a spoiler but despite all the online angst, Elliot Page is NOT Achilles.
O brother where art thou is on TNT currently if anyone wanted another trailer![]()
I don't want Fop, goddamn it! I'm a Dapper Dan man!
Homer is a must read if you're into reading, if nothing else, for the fact that an ancient work can resonate so well in the modern day.Recency bias be damned. This is one hell of a movie.
While I didn’t grow up during the era of the great Hollywood epics like Spartacus, this film defines what "epic" actually means. It is a monumental production that demands to be seen on the biggest screen possible; I can only imagine the scale in IMAX, where it truly functions as a cinematic event.
Visually, the film is staggering, and as expected, Göransson’s soundtrack provides a haunting, powerful backbone to the journey. Damon is Damon...he's just awesome. While the entire ensemble is strong, with Robert Pattinson proving a sleek, effective villain, and Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron, and Zendaya all turning in great work, the real standout to me is Tom Holland. He is the breakout of the film, and if he isn’t landing a nomination for Best Supporting Actor, it will be a genuine bummer.
Nolan took some massive swings, including the decision to feature the Trojan Horse event, which stands out as a masterclass in production design. Jon Bernthal is fantastic in that sequence, and the brief but impactful turns from Elliot Page and Lupita Nyong’o add immense weight to the narrative. I was particularly blown away by the Circe scene; she does more with 15 minutes of screen time than most actors do in an entire feature. She needs a supporting nom.
I went into this knowing only bits and pieces of Homer’s original work, and I’m genuinely curious to see how the scholars and stalwarts of the text react to this adaptation. For me, ranking it against Nolan’s other work is difficult while the adrenaline is still this high, but it’s an instant classic. It clears the bar set by Oppenheimer and comfortably sits on the shelf alongside TDK, Prestige, Dunkirk, and Inception.
Nolan has truly asked us to dream bigger, and he’s delivered a film that isn't just worth watching, it's an experience you have to live through. The last shot is KILLER with what Damon is saying in the voiceover.
Seeing it on full 70 mm film Saturday, so stokedῥυῥὀ
