if you really wanna see it, there's gotta be a non-IMAX option. But if you are dead set on IMAX it's gonna be tough anywhere.
There are IMAX seats open for all showings today at The Palm in Waukee.
Ya if you want to sit first couple rows. That would just ruin it for me. First movie filmed completely in IMAX so I'd like to see it that way.

i assume you're looking for today? there are single seats smack dab in the middle or side far back from the screen for almost every show tomorrow.
No, two seats, that's the problem. My Dad ain't gonna make it through a 10 pm showing. We're fine waiting but it's only listed out a week on the website.
Only listing out a week for showtimes after release is typical. I'm sure it will be in IMAX for several weeks at least, and probably longer. It doesn't look like there are any big blockbusters that will push it out of IMAX any time soon.
Edit: I forgot about Spiderman, but according to this article Odyssey has IMAX locked up for 4 weeks and will keep that out of the IMAX format.
