I was being tongue in cheek repeating his words, I don't actually believe leaving the Big 12 compromised the integrity of the sport. Depending on how you define "sport" and "honor," however, let's just say I don't believe those were factors in OU's decision. I know most everyone here is understandably furious with Tech, I'm just trying to temper things a tiny bit by pointing out that there is nothing in me that doubts OU, Texas, or any number of brands would be doing the exact same thing if the roles were reversed. It can be true both that the vast majority of people/groups commenting on it are on the right side of this issue, and that some of them are hypocrites
by suing the ncaa for more TV money and having coaches like Barry switzer.
In addition to the other things already mentioned, negotiating with UT, ESPN and the SEC behind the back of the rest of the conference.
There's got to be other athletes, notably in football in the P4, that have bet on their team that just haven't been caught. Tech hoping some tipster with evidence to offer his scummy services to Tech for a fee to rat out the player. Takes the heat off Tech.
The state of Texas sucks and is a corrupt **** hole.

As I said a few days ago, I'll be shocked if Sorsby plays a single down for Tech. Unfortunately, it won't be because Tech has suddenly seen the light and decided to do the noble thing. It will be because the Big 12 has called their bluff and taken this matter to federal court.

I think with the supplemental draft deadline next week, Sorsby would be wise to declare for it.

It's a completely different outlook if they didn't give the conference a free pre-emptive setup for a lawsuit. Went a little too far with their bravado.

BREAKING: The NFL is declining to hold a supplemental draft in 2026, leaving the 2027 Draft as Brendan Sorsby's only way to enter the league, per Adam Schefter.
The league is sending a letter to Sorsby and all 32 NFL teams to inform them of the decision.
How can someone who is not in the NFL pursue something with the NFL Players Association?
