Murph and Andy posed a question about which former ISU athlete will be hardest for ISU Fans to watch in a different uniform next season. I thought I'd bring it to this group. Sorry if I missed it posted elsewhere.

I won’t have that problem since I won’t be watching any of them. I’m an Iowa State fan.
We actually have the possibility of playing Audi two or three times next season.

Tough question. I never thought Rocco was anything more than an average QB but he's tough as nails and was really good when the game is on the line. I chose Audi because she went to a Big 12 school. That will be hard to watch.
Why would I watch any of them? If they ever step foot in Ames though it’ll be really easy to boo
Audi for me. She could have been a legend and held camps/photo sessions/had her jersey hung/etc.
I understand the limitations of her game but she also showed a lot of little girls its OK to put yourself out there when society has stereotypes.

They're all more or less experiments to me now. Get to observe "how would X do on another team?" in a large number of fairly high-level cases now, that's very unusual. Not really a whole lot to answer in Milan's case I suppose, but the football team follows plenty of past questions of "how we would do against a B1G schedule?". Audi is similar, how will she do in a non-Bill system feeding her nearly 100% of the court attention? We'll get to find some things out along the lines of whether we have stars or elevated JAGs on our teams.

Milan and Audi I completely understand and can’t blame them much. WBB is its own disaster. We told Milan we needed his commitment before he was ready to make it. I really wish the other stuff with this situations was different but they had special circumstances.
Rocco will be hard partly because the whole team will be hard. That is much more of a what if. The football team will really feel like it should be our team.

Audi because she transferred in conference Milan I might catch a game or 2 because UK gets a lot of games on TV. Rocco I reckon I won't even see him play because screw the B1G and SEC, don't watch them.

They're gone. There are a bunch of Cyclone athletes who WANT to be here to root for now instead.
I will watch those former Cyclones under one circumstance: They're playing against the Iowa State Cyclones.
Audi and it is not even close for me. Watching a player that could have gone down as an all-time program great go to a conference rival where we have the possibility of having to play her head to head in Hilton is going to be very awkward. At least with Milan and Rocco they are playing for schools we likely won't play at all next season unless in the post season. As a parent of 2 young girls having to explain why their favorite players Audi and Addy left was a tough one too and now they have shirts that they don't want to wear of theirs anymore. I guess the beneficiary of that aspect is going to be AJ as she now is their favorite player on the team.
Milan's situation is different because he is not following a coach and had a legit chance of going pro. Timing was not right and I would guess he would likely had stayed if he didn't test the draft water. Rocco followed a coach which I can understand too but at the same time was kind of hoping he'd want to stay and be a leader for the team his last season and help with the transition. I can't blame him either so it goes back to Audi and chasing the highest dollar which wound up being another school in the conference. Would not have stung as much had she gone anywhere else outside of the Big 12 and I might have leaned toward choosing Rocco for this poll had she went to a school outside of the Big 12.

It’s Kentucky basketball and Penn St football. People are already hate watching when they happen to watch their games. Ex-Cyclones being on the team won’t change that
For me, I’ll probably avoid PSU now because the narrative will be too annoying. I mean, **** like Ames being a food desert. Have they been to State College ?!?
But any time UK is losing a game, I’ll still enjoy that. I don’t care if Milan plays well or not, but I didn’t exactly want us to spend money on retaining him.
