Hannah Montana Super Bowl Halftime

I liked it when the NFL showcased local artists of the host city. When I think of Inglewood, Miley Cyrus isn’t the first that comes to mind. Can Dr Dre still do it?

I agree. Bad Bunny was not for the USA crowd, he was there to draw in all the viewers south of the border.
I'm not sure what sort of international appeal Miley Cyrus would bring. Maybe she's big in Europe. I have no idea.

Anything is better than the 1992 superbowl halftime at the Metrodome. It was so bad the NFL started "concerts" the following year, starting with Michael Jackson.

I don't care, halftime is usually when I bundle up and head out for a cigar. It could be my favorite band and I'm not sure I'd watch. I'm convinced the NFL is picking polarizing artists now, just so they can have 6 months + buzz about it. Look at how much outrage the NFL got for Bad Bunny, but wasn't that one of the most watched halftime shows?

I was in Manchester, England during the Super Bowl this past year and not a single person I interacted with knew the Super Bowl was going on that weekend. In comparison, there was a regular season Premier League game that same day between Liverpool and City and the whole city was pretty much shut down to watch this game and pubs were packed. In fact, it was estimated that 700m-750m globally watched that regular season game compared to only about 220m globally who watched the Super Bowl. I don't think Americans realize that the NFL is primarily just an American product aside from niche fans.

He’s also huge in the United States. Do international broadcasts even get the halftime show? I know they don’t get the commercials
