Best Campustown Bars by Decade

2003-07.
Paddy’s on Tuesday and Wednesday for the drink specials
Peoples on Thursday night: mixed drinks in mason jars were dangerous if the bartender liked you.
CY’s or Mickey’s when it was nice out on the weekends
Tip Top for pitchers and chili on football Saturday’s

2011-2015. Es Tas was the spot for cheese balls and pitchers.

Welch Ave and Pizza Pit are timeless.

AJ’s Ultra Lounge had a beat the clock special. You could down about a dozen well tequila sodas by 8pm and then stumble over to Fajita Man.

What was the cowboy bar on chamberlain that was previously a planned parenthood and before a da vinci’s pizza? That place used to get rowdy.

2006-2010, memory might be fading, but here's what I remember.

Es Tas on Tuesday.
Paddy's on Wednesday.
A rotation of Charlies Yokes, Paddy's, or Cy's, on mug night with an underdog run of Capone's one year, finish at Outlaw's if you're getting desperate.
Mickey's or Sgt Peppers for FAC. Watch your footing at Sgt. Peppers.

What am I missing?

2009-2013

Es Tas for Taco Tuesdays.
Mickey's on Wednesdays for dollar wells.
Mug night start at Cy's, then a trip to Yokes that we usually regretted.
FAC at Mickey's for $1 draws and free HyVee pizza. Possibly a trip to Paddy's for $0.50 draws.

Friday and Saturday night was always kind of a crapshoot, usually some rotation of Paddy's/Sips/Mickey's/Yokes.

You must have had a good time there -- you're talking about three different buildings.

Planned Parenthood is still on the corner of Chamberlain/Hayward.
Outlaws is next to that.
There used to be a crappy rental house next to Outlaws -- now it's apartments/retail.
Then daVinci's one more down.
Then the gas station.

DaVinci’s then Little Taipei, now is AJ’s Bar and Grill as of last month.
