Iowa State Softball 4/21 4 pm

I mean. We do have light on the track and soccer field right next door. LOL
Should upgrade JTS with the new fancy LEDs then move the old lights to the Softball field.

I'm sure there is a farmer around that has a stack of old telephone poles laying around they could give to the university. :p

Sucks this is by far the best offensive team we've ever had and really good defensively and still will likely miss the NCAA tournament

Softball is 90% pitching. Need a true ace, but those are $$$$$, and even if on the relatively cheaper side, tend to migrate south/west

Yep. Schurman starting off slow and Ralston being nowhere near what she was last year did us in. Palumbo and Mullen have been better then expected though.

Going to be an interesting final weekend of the regular season. Five teams competing for three spots in the conference tournament. Top 8 make it.

And it's not a full round-robin, so tiebreakers could get funky. ISU didn't play ASU or Utah this season.

*1. Texas Tech 19-2 (vs BAY)
2. Arizona 15-6 (at UTAH)
3. Oklahoma State 14-7 (vs KAN)
4. Kansas 13-8 (at OSU)
5. UCF 12-8-1 (at ISU)
6. Baylor 9-12 (at TTU)
7. Utah 8-12-1 (vs ARI)
8. Arizona State 8-13 (at BYU)
9. Iowa State 8-13 (vs UCF)

10. BYU 7-14 (vs ASU)
11. Houston 3-21

We need to sweep UCF and we need BYU to SWEEP ASU and ARIZ to sweep Utah for the chance to make the tourney

ISU gets in clean (no tiebreakers) with 2 wins and 2 BYU wins.

Anything beyond that is jockeying to avoid Tech in the first round.

Grand Slam Walk-off winner today.

Who is smart enough to figure out the scenarios with 1 day left in the Big XII Season???

Crazy that this might be the best offense ISU has had, and could miss even making the conference tournament

Who would have guessed that rice can't take a joke

But on a serious note I am surprised people are ******** that we don't have lights on the field, like how people bitched about no AC for the gymnasts
Yep, it's a dumb argument. There's no chance for warm games until late in the season. You definitely don't want night games most of the time. But even beyond that, these are weekend series... just go to the Saturday and Sunday games if you can't make it on Friday.

Must win game to extend the season…. 3 HR’s allowed in top of 1st.

Season ended in a huge disappointment. Got to replace half our offense and pitching take 5 steps forward for next season
