**** Official 2026 MBB Spring Transfer Portal Thread ****

So unless someone enters the portal, we've filled all the roster slots, correct?
I'm curious about Xzavion Mitchell. He didn't play much this season, but was a highly rated recruit that I think all of us were excited about. I'd be happy to see him stay and continue to develop for us, but anymore, that usually doesn't seem to be the norm.

I’d say a walk on is expendable if the perfect final piece comes along at the right price.
I think we knew what was happening before this weekend, and used our available resources to keep what we could and land the commitments we got.

I don’t see anymore movement, and even if there is, we’ve spent what we had available.

Just how I read everything.

TJ never closes a door. He’s said so many times. Probably won’t happen but as I stated. If the perfect final piece comes along he isn’t going to sit on his ass.

I went through the BigXII because it seems like everyone has huge turnover:

I looked at # of rotation players (>8mpg) returning, # of transfers out, and # of transfer commits

ISU:
4 returning (77 minutes/g); 4 out; 5 in

Arizona:
3 returning (75 m/g); 2 out; 0 in
(assuming Peat and Burries go to the draft and Krivaas comes back)

Arizona State: (new coach)
2 returning (42 m/g); 7 out; 2 in

Baylor:
1 returning (25 m/g); 1 out; 1 in
(assuming Carr and Yessouffou go to the draft)

BYU:
1 returning (12 m/g); 7 out; 1 in

Cincinnati: (new coach)
3 returning (29 m/g); 5 out; 4 in

Colorado:
4 returning (79 m/g); 6 out; 0 in

Houston:
3 returning (48 m/g); 3 out; 2 in
(assuming Flemings and Cenac go to the draft)

Kansas:
1 returning (12 m/g); 7 out; 0 in

Kansas State: (new coach)
2 returning (29 m/g); 8 out; 4 in

Oklahoma State:
4 returning (56 m/g); 5 out; 0 in

TCU:
4 returning (102 m/g); 6 out; 0 in

Texas Tech:
2 returning (30 m/g); 4 out; 0 in
(assuming Anderson and Toppin go to the draft)

UCF:
4 returning (72 m/g); 1 out; 1 in

Utah:
3 returning (41 m/g); 7 out; 0 in

West Virginia:
2 returning (27 m/g); 6 out; 2 in

Agreed, it seems like he's being given that opportunity with Milan gone, but we'll just have to wait and see until the portal closes.

My guess is this. To get someone as good as Zxavion out of the portal, would have cost us more than keeping Xzavion. So TJ at least knows what he has to offer and might be able to bring him along

Was it TJ that we had a player committed and then we pulled the offer and the kid ended up at Oregon? Can't remember his name but he was a big guy.

Only big guys I can think of that we were connected to during recruiting that ended up at Oregon were Chis Boucher and N’Faly Dante. TJ may have been on staff during those years (honestly likely), but not the HC. I think we thought Boucher was a possibility for a brief minute, but Dante was never really happening, I’m pretty sure.

It was Richard Amardi from Indian Hill I believe. Was committed here, then we booted him to make room for someone else. Don't remember who. Darien Williams maybe?
