Feline AIDS specifically.AIDS
I woke up with a super sore throat on Wednesday, had a runny nose all day and felt very sluggish and probably had a fever.
Felt a little better each day and today don’t feel any of it. Have a few coworkers that had some similar stuff that lasted longer. Figured it was just a mini cold
Two months is on the long side, if it’s not accompanied by other symptoms it’s unlikely to be anything to worry about but is very annoying. Is it more coughing up mucus in the lungs or from an irritated throat?I've had an intermittent cough for 2 months and been told it just needs to "run its course".
Scratchy, irritated throat. Started 2 months ago as cold/flu like symptoms and kicked that part of it, but the coughing remains. Two months is on the long side, if it’s not accompanied by other symptoms it’s unlikely to be anything to worry about but is very annoying. If it’s really been irritated for that long might want to make an appt with your PCP. Extremely unlikely to be anything serious but possibly could be tied ti another condition like GERD, allergies, or tonsillitis.Scratchy, irritated throat. Well I'm already on Omeprazole for AR and am taking Claritin for seasonal allergies, lolIf it’s really been irritated for that long might want to make an appt with your PCP. 2 months is just a long time to be experiencing symptoms like that unless there is something else happing or you are regularly straining your throat
Well nailed two out of the 3 at least lolWell I'm already on Omeprazole for AR and am taking Claritin for seasonal allergies, lol
I don't think it is appropriate for you to be prescribing PCP on here.Well nailed two out of the 3 at least lol
Still could be worth checking in to see if the dosage needs adjusting or if you need to switch. By no means urgent but worth looking into with your PCP

Not recommended for those patients who are allergic to PCP or its ingredients.Recommending and prescribing are two different things. Of course, check with your doctor if PCP is right for you.
She will likely get it from you. It's very contagious. Unless she's sending you out of the house for a week to 10 days.By the way, I had a bit of a sneeze this weekend. Last night I had a pesky lower back pain that I chalked up to weekend projects, but it was persistent enough to keep waking me up through the night. This morning I had an urgent visit to the bathroom and my nose is a constant stuffy/runny combination. The sneeze has upped its game as well.
The worst part though is dealing with Mrs. Velo telling me that she never gets sick.
Tracks, I would have said viral based on your symptoms but when its only in one lung bacterial is the more common diagnosis (your other listed symptoms don’t match however) I also would have waited for the blood work to get back before prescribing antibiotics.Doctor listened and thinks I have a very mild form of pneumonia because he’s only hearing the growling noise from the left side of my lungs. Getting antibiotics for 7 days as a precaution, even though he doesn’t know if it’s bacterial.
Side note, he said he’s been getting a ton of young adults and middle aged people coming in with atypical pneumonia in the post covid era. @FriendlySpartan
