Audi Crooks to Transfer

The programs that make the most money should get the money to be competitive. It sucks but that’s the landscape. We already earmark to much money to the wrestling program.
Please explain. Because the wrestling program keeps what they kill. $0 in revenue sharing from ISU outside of what dresser brings in himself. Are you saying they need to raise funds on their own and get none of it?

This is wrong. Based on what was reported to the regents they received 500k.

Donor intent still has to be honored. So when there is rev sharing that goes to sports like WBB and wrestling it’s likely because a donor gave money and targeted that sport.

If you like long commute times, angry drivers and the hustle and bustle of the east coast. Good luck not our issue anymore-

One player asking for more than the revenues of the entire program, sounds like the WNBA. ISU should stop spending money on woman's basketball. Get a new young coach at less than half the price and offer a token to girls who actually want to play. Stupid to try and outspend anyone.

The problem with women's hoops is that even with big NIL spends there are still only about 6-8 programs who even have a shot. I find it hilarious that Iowa continues to piss away money on their women's program because at the end of the day they still aren't going to be on the right side of it.

I'd submit it's not even that many. More like 4-6. The list below is the last 10 years and that's not even a good comparison given how NIL has changed everything.

Unfortunately, this is the hard decision ADs and programs will have to make. You've always had a good WBB program. How much do you assign your limited resources to keep a financial loser going? I hate it so much because I love college WBB, but it's the reality.

She is #1 but how many teams are going to pay huge money for someone that can't defend and sometimes literally doesn't get down the court. It's 4v5 for parts of the game.
We'll find out eventually. Pretty sure she will get paid more than ISU was willing to. I do agree with you that not playing defense is a huge downside to her game.

Reagan Beers went undrafted. Curious to see if she gets an invite to camp, but this makes me believe that Audi is just chasing the money for her senior year and likely doesn’t see a future in the WNBA.
wouldn't that be a reason to chase the money, though?

If you know you have no shot at the WNBA, then hell yeah you set yourself up as good as possible now.
