Twins will need to trade for a couple high-leverage relievers if they have any hopes of staying in the race. Bullpen is a huge question mark.
They are playing with house money.Probably a wild card team at best but hell its fun to see them win some games early.
I live here, the attendance is 100% due to the pure hatred for the Pohlads and the stunt they pulled last year gutting the team and trying to sell it and backing out of it.April attendance is typically horrible for Minnesota, the weather sucks more often than it's genuinely pleasant. Attendance likely will be poor but give it until May to really draw attention to it.

It’s got a little bit of the 2000ish vibe. In a rebuild with low expectations but some young players look like they are legit. I don’t think this team will make the playoffs. If they can be around .500 with some progress toward a jump next year I’ll be happyFans are so down on them this year due to the terrible Pohlads…….curious if this is a dead cat bounce.

For me, it goes back to the winter after they won the playoff series. They cut 30M of payroll. If they had just added a decent back-of-the-rotation starter and a decent backup centerfield option (10-15M total), they would have remained competitive the next year.I live here, the attendance is 100% due to the pure hatred for the Pohlads and the stunt they pulled last year gutting the team and trying to sell it and backing out of it.
Same for our family. We used to drive up to at least 2 - 3 games each year and watch part of their game almost every night. We could name their starting line up and pitching rotation. For me, it goes back to the winter after they won the playoff series. They cut 30M of payroll. I used to go to 3-5 games a year and watch at least parts of a couple dozen games. I didn't go to a game last year and had no idea how to watch them on TV last year and have no idea how to watch them this year.
I know I'm a small sample size but I don't think my attitude is a complete anomaly.
Woah... Pollard tried to sell the Twins? That would help tremendously with NIL.Same for our family. We used to drive up to at least 2 - 3 games each year and watch part of their game almost every night. We could name their starting line up and pitching rotation.
The combination of the pay for streaming service, trading of our good players, and the Pollards attempt to sell the team have completely isolated us from the Twins.
It hurts in that I am a 3rd generation Twin's family...and it is now like they don't even exist here in Northern Iowa.
I get this, but for most of the season night games in particular at Target are pretty awesome.I'm saying this attitude ranges from overblown to premature. Seriously look at these April attendances from last year: https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/MIN/2025-schedule-scores.shtml is that a bit stronger than this year, yeah a bit not a ton, especially factoring in the first two home series last year being weekend ones https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/MIN/2026-schedule-scores.shtml
Seriously April attendance, particularly given the cooler than average temperatures, consistently suck in Minnesota. It's why some, not me, argue they should have a roof.
Oh I agree, I wouldn't change Target Field. Just have to deal with the reality that poor attendance in April will be more the rule than the exception.I get this, but for most of the season night games in particular at Target are pretty awesome.
Let’s check back in on this thread in June. I would bet my paycheck it will be some of the worst attendance in baseball.I'm saying this attitude ranges from overblown to premature.
