MLB: ***2026 Minnesota Twins***

I'm surprised they are ahead of anyone. Butts in seats has got to be dead last. Weather for them has been brutal though. The had one day where the high was 52 and sunny. Every other game has been between 37 and 43 (for a high, worse if it was a night game) and cloudy. That is awful weather to sit through a ball game.

Looks like they have a pulse, though, so if thehy can keep it up, that could help.
The only thing that may get me to attend a game is the $2 beers on Friday and Saturday games before first pitch

And those beers would be the reason I would be able to tolerate watching this club.

Maybe, but since you haven't even watched them, can you really say they are bad to watch?

Keaschall is going to be a good player. He’s fun to watch. Can only hope the Twins have at least another three young guys (looking at you Culpepper, Rodriguez, and Jenkins) that can play winning baseball.

0-1 Flaherty (7.56 ERA) versus 0-2 Abel (11.05 ERA)

I was gonna say "Well, someone's gotta win" but that's not how baseball works

One or more of those three will break their arm in half at some point this year and need extensive surgery.

At 6-6 that's about 3-4 more wins than I expected. From viewing box scores, looks like lots of small ball and manufacturing runs. Opposite of the 2019 team. Starting pitching has been decent. Gonna have to keep building bigger leads with this bullpen.

Decided to look up some stats.

No blown saves for the Twins bullpen, thats good.
24% of inherited runners have scored which is good for Top 10 in baseball.
Just barely below average in leverage. Basically have had a similar number of low and high leverage situations.
Starters are slightly below league average in quality starts.
Saw one site that had the Twins ranked as the #18 bullpen so far this year which is amazing.
Pitching staff overally is really limiting HRs, which is helping out a LOT.

It will be interesting to see if they can patch together a decent bullpen and see if their prospects can help out.Raya appears to be getting plenty of work out of teh bullpen. Will be interesting if they bring up Prielipp as well, for that.

Honest question, at what point do the Twins just allow people to walk in without tickets after the 3rd inning or so... Attendance is going to be brutal all year.

Twins lead the Majors with 42 robocall challenges. They also lead the Majors with 25 calls successfully overturned.

April attendance is typically horrible for Minnesota, the weather sucks more often than it's genuinely pleasant. Attendance likely will be poor but give it until May to really draw attention to it.

Probably a wild card team at best but hell its fun to see them win some games early.
