To the people saying Momcolivc can't create his own shot....Are you serious????The dude led the entire country in 3 point makes while ALSO leading the country in 3 point %. You don't think opposing coaching staffs and defenses know this? You don't think he is a marked man on every scouting report? Milan is a catch and shoot player. His movement without the ball and his ability to get loose in transition for an open 3 is incredible! Do you know how hard it is to get up 8-10 3 point shots a game when you are that targeted of an offensive player?
If opposing defenses want to face guard him great go for it. It ruins a team defense and opens ridiculous driving lanes. So much easier to score in the halfcourt playing 4v4 than 5v5. I compare it to having an elite receiver in football. Okay you want to double our elite receiver on every snap? Ok great means everyone else is getting 1 on 1 coverage and needs to take advantage of that. Milan is a force multiplier even when he's not scoring.

Floor spacing will be good, assuming Toure can take a step forward.
The more I think about it, avoid a sophomore slump for Toure and Bateman is as important as bringing in the right transfers. Those two taking big steps forward will determine 2026/27 success
Both Tre and JJ had 9 3's made their freshman year. JJ attempted only 29 though and Singleton attempted 54 (almost as many as JJ attempted his soph year) - which tells me he has the ability to make them, now we just need to hire a veteran guy to our staff with the nickname The Shot Doctor and help raise that % up a bit
I think the world of Batemon, but I'm not sure he could handle being out there playing both the 2 and the 5, thats not only asking a lot of a guy, but playing 4 on 5, i would have to assume, would not be in the teams best interest.
I think developing a solid inside game from 10' and in would work just fine. An inside threat helps open things up, it's all about making people pay attention to the post.

I think that's a lineup with a lot of potential, especially if any of the freshmen are ready to contribute at a high level.
I think not being with the team over the summer hurt Pleta. I think, with a full offseason with the trainers and the team, he can make a big leap forward this year.
Let's be serious. There's a bunch of Norman Dale in TJ's coaching style.
We saw the progress the last half of the season where things started to click and Pleta was playing not thinking and reacting. Not hard to project a full offseason a jump to solid B12 big. Lot of promise.
I've been out of the loop the last few days. Is it confirmed that Toure and Pleta are returning? I only knew about Batemon
A full off season in the S&C program will be huge too.
I assume you meant Buchanon not Bateman at the 5. We would look like we did against Tennessee rebounding.
For your analogy, we'd desperately need a true slasher that can take it to the rim, and I don't see anyone like that in our current visit list. Maybe the guard from Bradley, but he's awfully small. Does Big Daddy Kane have any eligibility left?

Jaquan Johnson will drive opportunistically with force and craft (something like Lipsey but smaller)
Pleta's tape shows he can drive on and has a huge leap to take.
Singleton should be a threat inside, and will be more dangerous driving if his shot catches up to his potential

Agree. Never understood why we didn't have a guy driving the lane on Milan's side and dishing to him once his defender helped, instead of continually running the high ball screen action.
