JJeff Injury Updates

It's going to take a couple of months for Jefferson to be 100% healthy from this if not longer. None of that matters, what does is how much pain or discomfort is there, along with how much he can endure. I would take Jefferson at 70% right now over playing the game without him. His minutes will be limited to keep the swelling down and he has to try not to do to much when he is on the floor. He doesn't need to carry the team, but just be another cog in the machine.
Injuries like this are as much mental as they are physical, once the game starts and "IF" he can give it a go, he has to forget about his injury and just play free and lose as much as possible. If that means 10 minutes of playing time great, 20 minutes even better. Play as hard has he can for as long as he can.

I'm NOT comparing him to one of the best players on the planet. But the injury puts me in mind of the way Jokic plays, often standing still at the top of the key or "posting up" with intent to pass, and that maybe Jefferson can really just focus on distributing. That alone would make the offense better even than it has been the last two games

My question is what can he add to the team injured. Maybe even not start him and if stuff isn't going well, You Willis Reed him. Just send him out for a few minutes and pump up the team and our fans.

Freddy's is a much better version of SnS, without the servers (though I think SnS dumped servers at some point.) We had a SnS here in suburban KC for years but it shut down right before or after Covid, don't remember which. OTOH, we have several Freddy's locations and they are thriving. Culver's is better, but not by a lot. And Freddy's is cheaper. My 2 cents.
We stopped at the SoS in IC on Sunday on our way back from O'Hare, grand daughters enjoyed their burgers, they no longer serve a chicken sandwich, only chicken strips which were not very good. Excellent malts, no servers, had to use a computer screen to order and pay and then they called out the name on the order when it was ready. Decent French fries.
Ok fast food, but nothing more.

Stopped at that one on the way to Chicago years ago. I was alright, but one of the other guys in the car was in gastric distress after we crossed the river.

When is open practice today? Wonder if we see Jefferson at all (even on sidelines) or if he stays out of view
At this point, even if he is playing, it would be better to keep him in the training room getting treatment or sitting on the bench with the boot. Keeping Tennessee guessing as to if he is playing or not.

TJ said it would be a game time decision, we never heard the results of the MRI, so its either a lot of gamesmanship from the coaching staff or he is out and they just do not want Tennessee to know and preparing for him not playing.

Gastric distress and fast food, no matter how good, go hand in hand. It's just the degree of distress - From the Culver's or even Subway "There's a little something going on down there" to stopping at the Clear Lake McDonalds on the way to Eden Prairie and five minutes later, you're bargaining with God to make a detasseling porta-pot magically appear in the interstate median before you even get to the Diamond Jo in Northwood.

Yeah - I was just curious to know if he can even put weight on the foot yet. If he's not even walking, there's no chance he plays tomorrow

Unless it's far worse than what they are letting on, he should be able to put weight on the leg now. They are going to want him to be in the boot to help stabilize the ankle as much as possible. They will tape then brace the ankle and see how he feels and moves tomorrow. Right now it's treatment, and staying off it as much as possible to allow the ankle to heal as much as it can. So even if he is on the bench just watching practice, they are going to want him to wear the boot.
