I don’t think NIL is that significant in the mass exodus. It is obvious this reflects on the experience they had playing D1 basketball at Iowa State. They all believe they can find something better elsewhere.

I think a big chunk is they are just suppose to feed Audi the ball. Not much fun to just pass and not score much. Then on defense it’s 4.5 vs 5 as Audi struggles there.
If you are going to play hard defense you want to have a little fun on the other side also and not be a spectator

He absolutely has millions, unless he's got a wicked gambling addiction or something. He made almost a million this year alone.
My guess is that it is more basic than that. Bill has always played favorites and he can be a little old school in his coaching methods. Players will more likely tolerate that if you are having success, but after a frustrating season there is no reason not to look for something better.

I dislike NIL for the guys but I love for the women because there is no payday in the wnba. No sport pays like the men’s equivalents. This is their time to earn!
I love ISU, but something isn’t right with the women’s program to have this happening. I hope they all get as much as they can or be happy and loved for staying here!
Am I remembering right that was an article on Jada earlier this season noting that she bought a house in Ames? I know you can easily buy and sell real estate, but it seemed to me like she was committed to playing 2 years at ISU. Is the whole team just a big cluster and she decided to get off the ship? I understand her wanting to leave, but this whole situation sucks.
Time to pull the plug now unfortunately. Something has soured and how do you bring in so many players for a single year so coach can have a last go around to completely rebuild once again the following year with a new coach?
Technically, correct. But there is NIL money that comes from the school and there is endorsement money that comes from endorsing a product.. We need different names for them, but sadly endorsing a product is an NIL but there are two batches of NIL money.

This isn’t about NIL. Half our men’s team could have left for more money. But they took less because they believe in their coach and believe he’s maximizing their ability. There’s a lot to be said about being in a great situation.

This is what happened with Jada Williams, according to someone who is dating one of the players on the Iowa WBB team. Jan and Raina wanted Jada. She visited. Numbers were discussed. When you visit during portal season, you basically get an offer, so yes, she received an offer.
However, the girls on the team did not feel she was a team player and it was communicated to the captains (Kylie F and Taylor S) that they didn’t feel comfortable with her joining. Many of them had casually encountered her in AAU and reportedly some parents weren’t into the idea either.
So the captains told Jan that and Jan listened to her players, pulling the offer after what she thought was a good visit. I’m sure she would have loved to sign Jada, Iowa was desperate for a PG and JW is the kind of athlete Jan is trying to increasingly target. But her loyalty is to her team.

Unless he a financial moron, he’ll have well into the millions. Heck, career earnings have to be between 10-15 million. He shouldn’t be hurting at all.
