Didn't watch but looked at box score - all starters except Heiden (who fouled out) played either 48 or 49 of the 50 minutes of the game for Iowa.
Virginia played with a ton of energy all the way through both overtimes. Iowa just plain ran out of gas in the second OT.
Well in the Women's game you have to play real bad to lose as a 2 seed on your home court.

Timing is great on this for Iowa fans since they can stop pretending to care about WBB now that the men are having success.
Iowa had the problem that we saw our last two games 5/29 (17%) from three and 8/16 on FT. Tough to win when you cannot make shots.
Jan was a lazy hire - or else Bluder bullied the AD hiring her. In way over her head. Hawks could have / should have lost to Fairleigh Dickinson in the first round.

Team really dropped off late Feb and March in bigger games. They peaked to early.

Yeah that confused me a bit too, not sure why Kylie got as many minutes as she did. She was really bad today. Addie's a true freshman, maybe JJ felt she needed KF's experience and defensive play. Not sure. I'm not saying I agree with everything JJ does, but she took a team of mostly 3* talent to the B1G title game and a #2 seed. I want to see what she does with the young talent of Ava, Addie, Chit, Journey, Taylor along with with the blue-chipper McKenna coming in.

There was something not right with them, no way the game on Saturday should have ever been as close as it was, and they should have won going away today. They played like the Florida men played last night and it bit them in the butt today. However, I'm sure we will get a full page article in the DMR from Chad about what a wonderful year it was and how everything is rainbows and sunshine in Iowa City.
And Syracuse is down 50 to UConn. Obviously bad offensive sets and not calling TOs will do it.
