What's everyone reading?

Red Rising is on my list.

The first Red Rising book is really good but may be the worst of the first trilogy. The series just kept getting better

Red Rising has like 5 books in that series now. I’m on #2, which is vastly different from the first book in the series. Good read though, just different from 1 to 2.

The entire series is good but the books after the first trilogy while good take a different approach with different POVs. Same world but the the 3rd books ends a complete arc.

Just finished Nobody's Girl . It's shocking, sickening, enraging, saddening all the same time. We've got to cultivate better men.

Next up is A Way Out Of No Way by Reverend Warnock
There have always been and will always be really bad people. We've got to make sure that none of them are ever allowed to be powerful enough to be unaccountable.

I was interested in how they would do certain things from the book and was pleased with how they accomplished them.
I didn't read the Martian but loved the movie. I enjoyed Project Hail Mary but it was different than I expected. Did they change a lot of things to make it better for cinema?

I felt like The Martian got a little too "science-y" for the casual reader and Weir toned that down a bit in PHM. I enjoyed both and am looking forward to reading Artemis as they plan on making that into a movie as well.

I was expecting a more psychological kind of book being it's an isolated human saving the world but it was more of a happy tone with much less science. I was a little disappointed but that's probably because of the hype. Still a good book and fun read.

I read a different book called Infinite by Jeremy Robinson that has a similar premise and it's so great. I liked it better than Project Hail Mary. It's more adult and gruesome.

Infinite is part of a big series, isn’t it? Something like 13 books all together?

I'll have to look into it. Sounds like a fun read.

Ya but they're not all directly related. I haven't read Infinite 2 but I love the first one so much. It punches you in the face immediately and doesn't slow down the whole book. Hilarious, gruesome, introspective and truly creative.

I read NPC which is part of that series but it had nothing to do with Infinite, but I haven't read all of the other 11 books to know if they are all interconnected or if it's more like Sanderson/King and they just have a universe everything happens inside?

Has anyone read the Iron Druid series? Found it listed as similar to Dresden Files. It has been entertaining so far.
