I think he’s a good coach but the culture was half-baked already at BYU. UK is the opposite. Bunch of chefs in the kitchen, just collecting talent rather than assembling a team.

UK claims they want a guy like TJ but would they be okay with him not trying to win signing day every year?

Winning in the tourney makes people forget signing day. I don't think their fanbase is stupid. They saw how having the top ranked class every year under Cal only got them 1 title. They need a good proven winner and not the "hot name" or former player. Pope didn't run BYU into the ground but he didn't do anything spectacular there.
