I'm not really a fan of Murray but he will be a huge upgrade over McCarthy.
Signing a former All-Pro QB who’s still in his 20s for $1.3 million is a gift in today’s NFL.
Fascinating....it certainly seems like they have very little faith in McCarthy. Wondering if the former GM was his advocate and now he is gone, the protections are removed? This will be fun to watch moving forward.
Vikings won't carry more than three quarterbacks though, correct? Murray, McCarthy, and Wentz. Who is the third/emergency quarterback here? (Edit: will add that Brosmer was already gone in my mind so I do agree the Vikings did not have faith in him...wondering if JJ drops to the third QB).

Wentz will be third. Vikes have to keep JJ’s trade value up, whatever limited interest there may be.
I wonder what they're paying Wentz. I'm just surprised he didn't have better offers to be a clear backup somewhere.

I'd be willing to bet he had no other offers coming off of yet another injury. I'd be somewhat surprised if he's QB2 over McCarthy. You don't play Wentz again unless absolutely necessary.
Setting up for the year they have the #1 pick. That'll be fun.
