Unless he was having an affair with her which is highly unlikely why would she think that? Ive never even heard of that remotely being the the case. Why is it so far fetched that although they weren't in the same jobs they butted heads professionally. I mean that seems astronomically more likely imo. More often than not it actually isn't the jealous and upset lover situation. Its something way more boring in a lot of cases which actually seems more likely in this one. It doesn't seem like for a lot of reasons Oakland's love interest had anything to do romantically with this woman.
What if Ashley's fiance was tied to Epstein? She knew too much. Just like Savannah Guhries mom. In order to shut Savannah up they killed her 85 year old mother. Because if I want to stop someone from talking I don't kill them I kill their elderly parent.
Did Ashley Oakland's fiance have, or continue having some affair with the suspect or something? I mean there is ABSOLUTELY nothing that suggests this except, "well there was this other case involving a murdered woman where this was clearly the case". I could obviously be wrong but why is it so far fetched that a desperate woman fearing her business/livelihood were in danger killed a person she believed to be a professional adversary? It doesn't line up. I've never ever heard a rumor or speculation about the suspect and victim having a common lover. And nothing is a secret it Des Moines. For long anyway. We've all been there. And even he never said anything? Come on
Possible real estate deal gone wrong with someone close to her? They took it out on her to get revenge? Pure speculation.
Nobody put her up to it though. She's not a professional hit person. It was clearly an issue the two had between each on a professional level. If it was more than that there would have been more indictments.
I tried to get off by pointing out that the defense attorney when he was a congressman helped get my dad a patronage job. Didn’t work.
I was almost to the point where I was just going to tell them I was racist. It was exhausting wasn't it? I mean we would spend literally the entire day down at the courthouse. I thought the first day just filling out the paperwork would be the end. Did not expect to actually have to take the stand like I was on trial. I think the defense team was mainly arguing they couldnt get a fair trial in Polk County which I actually agree with them regardless of how guilty he obviously was. On the stand I finally told them that id heard so much about the case from the news that my mind was made up he was guilty no matter how impartial I tried to be. The defense attorney was clearly annoyed. I think I missed 4 days of work for it.

Pretend you can barely hear. Keep a confused look on your face and don’t answer right away when they say something to you. Then tell them you can’t hear a thing they are saying and make them yell at you to hear it. Doubt they want to yell for a couple days.
The issue in that case was I think the defense realized the trial wasn't getting moved and if they felt like you could be impartial they would have taken a deaf person. In a weird way I felt sorry for the defense team. They spent days and hours screening a few hundred of us.
then when they ask you something, tell them you think they are making fun of you and that that lawyer is ticking you off and you don’t like him/her
So I did make the comment that one of my coworkers knew Walls through a mutual friend and said "he was nothing but trouble". Walls and his defense attorney huddled together and I think that was finally the end of me. That was the best I could come up with on short notice. In retrospect it was perjury but I gotta pay bills.
Had a juror (an Old man) say the same thing, but did’t use the word ticking. He was gone.
