Yeah I honestly have no issue with the officiating. It was very physical both ways. They got away with a few travels, but then the refs did call at least 3 travels on them. They weren't going to call 7 travels. They literally never do. In today's game, when players literally travel almost every single time down the court, and Arizona got called for 3 of them - hell yes I will take that. And in the first half, Pleta was out of bounds on a save and they called it off Arizona. AND we won a challenge which we never do (especially one that 'close'). I think both teams were pushing and shoving a lot. Hell, Milan got open on several 3's by Pleta simply bodying out Arizona and flailing his hips and elbows - in any other decade, those are obvious moving screens.
Arizona had to make play - after play - after play - after play - to win. And credit to them, they did. F***!
He's been nothing but complimentary of our team all week. He's even saying what we want to hear - we're a legitimate Final Four caliber team... and he's been saying that since Maui last year. Dude might be a Dookie and a bit of a bore, but give him a break - he likes this team.
Honestly I forgot numerous times it was him talking. Usually he has these comments trying to prove how smart he is, but he's kept it strictly to good analysis.

I think had Iowa State played like they did tonight against nearly any other team in the country.... they win going away by 15-20+ points IMO.
I think he tries to be funny for the entertainment aspect too much when he's just not. When he sticks to the analysis he's actually not bad at all to listen to.
It's hard to be funny when you speak monotone like he does.
Also, did they score after being granted that timeout they shouldn't have been granted? That one wasn't even a judgment call, it's just against the rules.
That's called "deadpan", and you have to be good at humor to pull it off.
Court had too much grip - caused a groin tweak for Lipsey. On a glass court, he just keeps sliding with both feet and doesn’t get hurt.
Exactly. Buzzer beater losses are never fun, but we hit a few really tough shots ourselves at the end just to get it tied. The fact it was going to OT if he missed made me not so sad when it went in. We didn’t need OT regardless.
Bilas is almost as much of a pompous ass as Del Orso. I think I noticed one play where Lipsey got blocked and fell down and Del Orso was right above him, looking at him and screaming and no technical was called.
I thought the first 5-6 minutes of the game Bilas was unbearable, but...he got less aggravating as the game went on.
Refs weren't good...but certainly didn't cost us anything I thought.
At the end of the game, they just hit one more shot. I'll leave it to the coaches to find where they need to improve. Lets just enjoy the fact we watched a 3rd weekend quality game in a conference tournament. (and take a collective ice pack to our groins)

I mean, that was pretty much what Momcilovic did at the end of the half. We can't even complain that much (of course we're going to because it's a suckey way to go out).
