Is Jefferson underappreciated?

JJ doesn't take over games, doesn't hit clutch shots consistently, and his "greatness" disappears for long periods. Like I said this team is talented enough that if he was that good we would only have about 3 losses and wouldn't need Milan to get hot from 3 so much. We could lose Jefferson more than we could Milan imo

Defensively over the course of the whole game, I don’t think so. His defense, in this system, is very underrated.

Also, let’s just not lose either.

Milan would be who I would pick to score 40 for us some game. But 2 triple doubles seems like JJ can take over games. Just he doesn't force his shot most of the time.

I think the greater a player is the more a bad game stands out and draws (probably unfair) criticism. J Jeff is so good that when he isn't as good, we notice it. I'm not sure how bad the criticism was, but there WERE games when he wasn't great. Was he bad? No. But when someone is great even a little bit worse seems bad.

It's like the whole team. This team is really, really good. When they play 'bad', it just looks so much worse because of how good they usually are.

If the criticism isn't outrageous, it's kind of a compliment.

I agree. I think he's a good defender. He just can't consistently take over games offensively. That's not a knock on him necessarily, but why I don't think he elite.

I don't know how any GM would ever use the overall #1 pick on Peterson. There are major red flags, and it may work out great. But if you draft him first and the issues that cropped up at Kansas continue in the League, it probably means your job.
I think Dybantsa is playing himself into the #1 pick but Peterson still could be
