*** Official Arizona State vs #7 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

Not so much the injury, its you might have to play 4 games in 4 days..

I think Otz's philosophy is that he wants everyone to play 110% at all times, and that it'll be harder to ramp up to that if you sit for 10:00. However I think this game is an exception, and it's one thing to keep everyone in up 18, but another up 42

You guys worry way too much about this. Players are just as likely to get injured in practice.

You put in bench guys to get them experience and reward them for the hard work. I'm not sure coaches even factor in injury avoidance when deciding when to take guys out in blowouts.
Practice is basically over for the rest of the year, outside of preparation for your 1st round NCAA tourney game.

I've seen guys have season ending injuries in garbage time when they didn't need to be playing...so yeah a little more rest is definitely needed when you gotta play in the next 24 hours.

It really, really doesnt. Injuries in that situation can happen. But if I remember correctly, Milan got hurt in practice last year. I’d love to know who you have seen get a season ending injuries in garbage time, other than Derrick Rose.
